Yeah you are lol
Really, you guys don't find her suspicious? She's constantly lying and withholding information from MC. Plus she's allied to Alaina, who's GIGA sus. There are two big sus scenes with Mom, first in the one you get if you don't kiss Ellin at the start, where Mom and Alaina discuss Ellis' exile and it sounds like they're the ones who orchestrated it, though later it is said Father ordered it. The second is after you meet the cousin twins and Mom and the girl have a fight; the girl calls Mom a pathological liar, and when Ellis questions her, she immediately shifts the focus and seduces him. The second scene wouldn't be so suspicious knowing Mom's sister is jealous of her, except that when Ellis' asks why they fought Mom lies and says she doesn't know. Later, the truth is revealed when we meet the aunt, but it's worth asking: did we find out only because the aunt was present? Why didn't Mom just say the truth from the start? Also, there's the whole matter of Cass' rebellion. We know Alaina helped her with it, and it just so happens Alaina also helped Mom escape. AND we know from the past vision that Father died instead of Cass' mother.
They seem to be elf supremacists, but at this point, it's hard to tell if that's all there is to it.

I personally believe that the mom used to be part of the elven supremacy conspiracy until the MC got sent away. Then she realized that she fucked up and started becoming more of a mother to the MC.

When you translate or get the elf girl in the council to translate, she makes alaina write down logs at the activity of the MC. It seems to me, she just wanted to know how the MC was doing.

The whole thing with your aunt and cousin is due to the whole thing of the elder (Seraphina) supposed to be a "leader" to the elven people, but your mom has been denying that due to her love for you. They outright ignore her call to arms to aid you and instead do their own thing which turns out harmful in some war scenarios playthroughs due to causing many distractions.
For sure though, Alaina is an elven supremacist because she smiles if you choose your elven half and may have had a hand in manipulating cass coup (I provided screenshots in a previous post of this), furthermore if chose Cass, she conspires with Conrad about succession to the throne "just in case something happened".

Alaina is suspicious and so far it seems like she's planning on undermining the mc's authority. The mom I don't think is currently doing anything suspicious because he's her son and he doesn't want to see him come to harms way. She's just going to hope mc will support the elves eventually while Alaina is going to try and force it to happen. The cousins never meet the mom and only dislke her because their mother dislikes her. Main point, the mom is an optimist while Alaina is doing stuff behind everyone's backs for her own goals.
