Like an example, X has x_creampie = 1 during her scene, LM can basically pull x_creampie into version1.0 and see if x_creampie is 0 or 1 (False or True), if it’s true, set it as x_pregnant=1. Doesn’t really break the game but encourages more replayability if you miss it (also creampie all the time ftw

)
It's the same thing. Players won't have that variable (x_creampie) when it's supposed to happen in their game unless they go back and replay. The developer can't go down into
MY folders to know what
I did and add variables. I don't have it now. It won't mean a thing to me when the developer adds it to a new release. Unless the developer provides a default variable, the game will crash when that variable is tested. A default variable doesn't do what you want. I am the only one who can set that variable for me, not the developer, and I would have to replay the scene to do that.
If a developer adds a new variable into a previous release, the game needs to be replayed from that release.
It's as simple as that. Developers run into that problem all the time. The only way to get around replay is through question and answer. Some developers have done that. It's awkward though, especially in a game where there are so many different routes. A player might well not remember what was done on a given route.
