haha, ''amk'' is an abbreviation for swearing. Turks swear a lot, which I attribute to the fact that Turkish swear words have a harsh and impressive sound structure. The uniquely accented and powerful sounds of Turkish make swearing sound more satisfying to both the speaker and the listener. That's my theory, but I don't know why I'm giving a lecture on swearing.Very Soviet of you to do that. Dunno why but whenever I see a Turkish translation thread or something like that, I suspect of them translators to put 'AMK AMK AMK' at the end of every sentence.
Also, AFAIR you're not the first one to give up on translation.
