Yeah, no she's Filipino, and wants her own... They have this thing in the Philippines (probably most third world countries i'm guessing), where children actually take care of their elders... There is no such thing as 'retirement' or even 'bank accounts' there, (the company you work for opens a bank account to deposit your pay to, and the close it when you stop working for them, private bank accounts only exist for the extremely wealthy.), so the basic retirement plan is to pump out a bunch of kids and they work and you live off off them, that's your 'retirement'... Already explained that's not going to happen here, basically after age 20 and you see them when it's time for you to give them gifts, and that's it... But she's emphatic and I love her, she was 27 i was 36 when we married. I've enjoyed my little 90 pound Asian girl for 15 years, and if she want's a kid, I'll make it happen for her.Just adopt an older kid from the hood, give him a bunch of food, and make him play football. Then you got yourself your very own Blindside. She gets her kid, and you get rich. Problem solved.
All joking aside, 42 is not a prime age for a kid. She's at a point where's she's going against nature, and god knows what the pill has done to her reproductive system over the years. It could very much happen, but I'd expect a few more miscarriages at least. And even if she does get pregnant, there's a laundry list of complications a woman her age could experience with it. Adoption or surrogacy may end up being her only options, after a certain point, without further risking her health. Wish you the best (or worst, if you don't want it to happen, I guess.
The fact she got pregnant less than a month after stopping the pill shows she's still really fertile, our fault was probably in not waiting a couple of month after ending the birth control to start 'trying'... My money is on the lingering effects of the hormones.
Anyway, i made an agreement with her... Told her we will try for 1 year... After that, we will just be too old. That was January... So she has 5/6 months left. If not by then, it just ain't in the cards.
