In my unsolicited opinion you should probably prioritize proof-reading over voice acting. There have been dozens of AVNs where I've thought "Wow this desperately needs some proof-reading" versus literally one game that I'd say had bearable voice acting. Which only did little things like "Hmm?" "Huh?" "Hahaha" "Wow".
Obviously proofreading has to come before voice acting. Also voice acting is expensive which means if it will happen it will be only possible with enough support which means much later goal than proofreading.

IMO, voice acting is usually not worth the time and effort. That time and effort is worth more by spending it on advancing the story along. I feel the same way about animations but that's just me.
First thing I do is mute any bad voice acting, which at this level of pay is bad 95% of the time and adds nothing.

The plan would be to hire pro voice actresses not some randos and obviosly sit with them until they get it "right". But like i said before it's a long term goal that might never happen. The only window for it is for 1.0 or after it.

I agree, voice acting in AVNs is completely unnecessary.

It's as bad as real porn acting and almost every time the voice never really improves the character. Usually has the opposite effect. Also, a good writer can describe a voice to give the reader a good idea as to how they should sound.

Hey it's your game to do what with as you please, but to spend a great deal of resources and time on an application that most players just turn off would be irrational. And that's just from my experiences playing these VN. I know a lot of time and effort gets put into these VN. Story arc and visuals are the main things that keeps players interested and hopefully gets you more patreons. So far the story has me intrigued and looking forward to see where it goes in the future. But for me... off to a good start and keep up the good work

As for animations I'm not totally against. And I'm not sure which of these takes longer to work on, but if a sequence of still renders can accomplish the same as an animation can then which ever is easier would be my choice but that's just me

The reason why i want this aspirational goal is because i played few amazing erotic games that did have them and the voice acting completely changed how those games were experienced.

Great example of it is Marina's Cuckolding Report. Without VA that would be mediacore or maybe even bad game. But with Marina voice actress it excels into amazing territory.

I do understand a point about weak voice acting. So whatever i will do VA it will be on condition to get it "right" with me sitting in studio doing reshoots as nothing is worse than bad VA.

Thankfully using VAM means animations are "cheap" for me. One of key reasons why i picked VAM to make my game. VAM has build in muscles simulation etc. and then there is VR where i can just keyframe animations not by painstaking mouse keyboard work but just by my hands. There are some issues but overall the work on animations isn't that hard.

Obviously with something like DAZ i wouldn't do them.

whats up with the renders? it seems old-quality-renders from 10 or so years ago?
is there a reason to that? to speed-up render-time? I don't mind it if thats the case, as quantity can help storytelling.

Agreed that the last thing the dev should be thinking about is VA... there's so many other things that should be improved first... but if they're dead set on int for whatever reason, the AI tools are getting pretty good, so I'd look into those before spending a lot of money (that would be better spent elsewhere) hiring actors.

Fixing the dialogues should of course be a priority, but the game could use more variety in music (not super important) and of course better quality in the visuals... The "sprites" thing is quite lazy, tbh, as well as having so many screens being the same repetitive boring background... specially considering the game is set in a restricted environment.

Anyways, the story is pretty good and the writing is also solid (minus all the techincal issues), but yeah, I wish the overall quality was better.

Kind of looks like something from a video game from a decade ago.

well. thats what I wanted to know. story/scenes/eroticism is the most important thing.
as for renders if its ultraugly or deformed or choppy animations thats bad, but like HS, its ok as long the shapes are ok. I will give it a try later.

Made by Virt-A-Mate instead of the usual DAZ or other engines we see on a daily basis. They honestly look great when you get used to the look.

have to agree with you, the graphics needed getting used too, but now I love them and don`t want to miss them, plus the Dev is giving almost 2 updates a month or more, and that is something you don`t see everyday.

Thanks. VAM lighting model is very rough but i try my best with what i have :). I would love DAZ's raytracing. I actually did play a bit with DAZ but its posing and animation system is just too slow compared to VAM. In VAM i can just hop into a VR mode using my headset, pose characters in minutes and iterate on scenes quickly. I lose time on adjusting lighting but i gain massive benefits on VR hand posing.

Very much agree, I didn't like the looks at first but it really starts to grow on you.
I actually did play a bit with DAZ but its posing and animation system LITERALLY EVERYTHIHNG is just too slow
FTFY . I'm using daz right now for my own WIP. And I hate everything about it compared to to blender or max.
