I understand that thinking but imho catering to the biggest audience always leads to problems. For one you start to make something you are not really hot about, secondly you are catering to audience rather than being part of audience and wanting to see more of what you make.

My choice of the theme was very deliberate process. For one I didn't really like western NTR/Swinging games because they are usually too much focused on humiliation, race play and act itself rather than what early japanese NTR/swinging games were about that i loved.

I am new to this and trying to unlock the images in the gallery on the game. Not sure how I can unlock all of them. When I check the gallery on the game it says images are locked. I am not being lazy just trying to figure this out. Any help is appreciated

As of v.0.73, to avoid Sylvia NTR (in [probably almost] all scenes), the simplest method is the MC has to stay faithful to Sylvia, i.e. not even participating in swinging. Also, if you reach this scene (see spoiler), keep insisting her to stay and not let her go.

You might want to try using the mod in the main game description post with the mod Universal Ren'Py Mod to help toggle the variable and alert you when a variables are used to determine the next scene/dialogue.

It's mostly by staying faithful to Sylvia, i.e. no cheating, no swinging. What are the signs of staying faithful to Sylvia? She does not do things behind your back, she does not catch/knows about you cheating behind her back.
The scene in the screenshot has 2 versions. One will result in her confessing to you

Both scenes require you to keep pestering her on where she's going/about to do later (she'll lie about going to a party). How she reacts (in the spoilers) is dependent on whether you are faithful to her.
The easiest method to know whether you are faithful to her is to install the walkthrough mod.

That's mostly early story thing. It will be reworked eventually later.

kinda weirded out by how sylvia is hidding fiona's scheme from the MC, if going on the swapping route. Like you are pretty transparent so far with her on that route and open to her enjoying herself, so why does it count as cheating in the end?

100%, this was something I mentioned to dev earlier, as it seems inconsistent if MC isn't sleazing around behind her back but rather staying faithful and also participating in these swinging events with both of them present and happy with each other that Sylvia would also be participating in separate nefarious schemes. At the time it fell on deaf ears.

I did change that. Now if you were just swinging you can still stop her.

As for swapping vs what she does:

1. If you do swapping with your wife try now to tell her to sleep with someone for money and see if she will have problem with it. Because that is essentially what Sylvia would be doing and she clearly has problem with it.

2. Sylvia loves Jack but her love to Iris naturally is much higher as mother and when she saw the opportunity she tried to take it despite obviously her not looking forward to it.

3. It was hasty decision with no time to explain properly everything. Even without player cheating on her this is one of those moments in life where life gives you a hand that has obvious problems but the promise of reward can make you go stupid and if you overplay that hand you can be in trouble.

Maybe I'm not understanding the flow then, I'd call E044 a swinging scene, yet to get the swap option you either need e044_mistresslikesjack or e024_aftersex, the latter which sets e090a_sylviapure false via e054_jacksexwithmistress. I suppose the alternative would be to do it via [e044_mistresslikesjack], but I think most partners would be harsher on telling someone else you love them.

Or, perhaps you don't consider E044_team_up a real swinging scene, and in that case I suppose it follows.....but there does seem to be a contrived effort to separate the couple.

Ok I see now what you are talking about.

The reason for it is that Sylvia in general is very aware of what is Jack doing behind her back, It is not spelled directly in game but she drops hints in her dialogs, the way she sometimes looks etc.

The first swapping event effectively happens because jack is chasing mistress behind sylvia's back.
If jack doesn't do that this in this even jack gets handy by Sylvia and it is not swapping de facto event but prelude to later swapping.

The difference between this and later events is that Sylvia later is much more shall we say used to mistress/henry/jack antics and swapping then happens with her approval...

If you remember before i used sex with mistress in later swapping event also to fail sylvia pure status later for the same exact reason as 044 where if you pick mistress sylvia is not really ok with it despite not showing it.

Upon reflection it was too harsh punishment for "that" event as you could play completely pure jack that just happens to do swapping later on (on first time sylvia refuses outright and you don't have a choice if she is pure) but second swapping choice is where she kind of goes along.

Going back to 044. Imo there is nothing wrong. In order to swap with mistress you need to play as asshole to sylvia and sylvia like I said notices things. Either way, Sylvia isn't angry by that swapping event but fooling around with mistress (aftersex) or pursuing mistress (that leads to mistress likes jack).

My MC confessed the cheating himself when there was a choice back then, so the hissy fit when demanding Sylvia to be as forthcoming was weird to say the least.
