Yeah, i'm beginning to get the sense that the RNG mission allocation is not a good thing.
I have to very much agree with your assessment there, RNG based gameplay in a story / smut based game generally just leads to frustration (and not the fun kinky kind). If you want to keep the idea of having to do multiple playthroughs to see all content, and encourage replaying the story in different ways, my suggestion would be to make it more of a limited branching system, where the player can pick freely from a set of options each time.

So something like this for example (bold is what the hypothetical player picks):

1st Recruitment mission selection
* Recruit Estallar
* Recruit Helyra
* Recruit Xotyli

1st Regular guild mission selection
* Rat Quest
* Noble Quest
* Quest A

2nd Regular guild mission selection, last time they picked Noble Quest so there's a new option
* Rat Quest
* Quest A
* Quest B

2nd Recruitment mission, last time they recruited Xotyli, so only two options left
* Recruit Estallar
* Recruit Helyra

3rd Regular guild mission, the player didn't accept the rat quest within a set amount of time, so someone else solved the problem instead. During next round of regular guild missions B will be removed as well if not picked.
* Quest B
* Quest C
* Quest D

Entitled Unfair Review 1.png

Highly unfair review, it's early days yet at version 0.2, I doubt that such an early version deserves such a review score. Also if you had but asked you would have known that the images in the preview are exactly that, a PREVIEW of what is to come, they were in 0.1. as a hypothetical scene to show people what EVENTUALLY could happen, now we are starting the beginning of the story proper in 0.2 we will be building up to that. Out of 1 to 5, 1 is blatantly unfair considering you said you liked certain parts of the game.

Yeah, it won't be appreciated by many. Locking content and dialogue behind RNG is always frustrating, only true masochists actually enjoy it. My first playthrough I almost missed like 80% of the 0.2 content. I must have skipped through whatever message hinted at replaying. I was about to delete the game and forget about it, then I saw other scenes in the game files and wondered how I had missed it. At least as far as 0.2 goes, simple branches would be better than RNG and no branching at all is absolutely fine for the introductory content so far. The RNG is just unnecessary and it's a lot more work for you if you keep doing it throughout the game.

If you must indulge your RNG fetish though, bear in mind what you place behind RNG may never be seen by most players. Even knowing about the RNG system, most won't bother go back to watch every variation. Some brilliant funny exchange between two characters that you are proud of? If it's behind RNG, many won't ever see it, it's a bit of a waste in that respect.

Yeah i also only had luck i get to meet the Undine directly on my first try, if i would not have i would have been probably delete the update dissappointed. Didn't know the quests would come randomly.

Also i sent you a message on discord a few days ago. I like your game, can't wait for the Undine to be dirty on the much smarter character the Paladin. Will it be some blackmail? Like if the Paladin want the Undine to leave the barbarian alone the Paladin must offer herself to the Undine and in the end the Undine gets both either way or something like that?

Alright I hear everyone, I'll come up with a canon route with most of the events and put the toggle in for 0.3.
I say most of the events since some wouldn't make sense such as first meeting Xotyli twice for example.

I have no idea how your game is organized, but that's what people use flags in games, to avoid watching again already seen scenes

As a compromise, I would say giving the option to choose your companion, then the rest being rng would work I think. Having the namesake of the game be missable feels wrong.

That's already going to be a part of it, leaving Xotyli behind or taking her with you, certain events and quests won't need the full party. Oh and the Paladin will eventually have all the companions in the party eventually anyway, so if you 'miss' her in 0.2. you will get her in 0.3 or 0.4. As of 0.4 ALL the party will be met and assembled.

When is the next update? Hope the female Paladin is a smart girl so she can resist Xotylis attempts but get kind of no choice when she have to choose that she give up herself to be Xotylis slut and for that Xotyli promise to not touch the barbarian or else Xotyli have no mercy on the barbarian.

Public progress post and initial ETA is here, I release a public progress post each month so people can track what I'm doing.

I know it's still very early, since it's only at version 0.2, but which update and how long do you think it will take for the game to be ready?

I'm referring to the game being 100% complete, with all 5 routes completed, not when the next update will be released. I know you can't say for sure, but what would your estimate be?
Well initial aim is for 1.0. and now that the updates are every other month...

about 14 months since from 0.3 to 1.0 is 7 updates and I do DDR in between them so 14 months.

I completely agree, such a branching system is the golden mean for porn games, where you want control, not a lottery. I myself racked my brains over such mechanics for my fantasy harem prototype, where the choice of ‘girls’ for quests was supposed to influence the plot.

Question for Icarus Media regarding the different paths you said Undine is going to have different reactions based on if the MC is FemMC, MaleMC, or FutaMC like Undine trying to get with the FemMC like trying to add the FemMC to the harem/group of people shes trying to bone. Will there be different branches with in the paths? For an example the Revenge path with a FemMC understanding and aware that Undine is trying to bone everyone and is actively trying to stop it from happening will there be branches of if the FemMC succeeds Undine is driven from the group/killed, FemMC and Undine are both fail and succeed like a stalemate Undine isn't driven from the group but is getting cocked blocked, or the FemMC fails and Undine is able to pull the rug out from underneath them so the FemMC fall face down ass up.

Netorare - You will make it so that the Paladin is helpless as his girls are snatched away from him and he is humiliated.
Netorase - You will guide the Paladin to make friends with the Undine and encourage a more relaxed and fun sexual atmosphere among the group.
Oblivious - You will make the Paladin essentially an idiot that can't see the most obvious thing happening before him/her.
Revenge - You will guide the Paladin to seek revenge and will one day be eating some sort of blue seafood dish with the Undine nowhere to be found.
Snu-Snu - Because my patrons voted for the wife to be a Barbarian, it opened up a 5th path, namely she used her barbarian rage ability to overwhelm the Undine and uses her as blue dildo for her own fun, turning the tables.
