I get your logic, but it doesn't work that way. People won't pay if they don't have to. Nobody gives a damn about my problems, and that’s fine.
Why don't you just do what other successful devs on here do to monetize their content? Provide early access to your subscribers, then release the free version a couple weeks later. The vast majority of the time, people respect that and don't leak updates early.
People are going to want to support you because they like you and enjoy your work, and they want to get into it as soon as possible.
The issue is your game is still in very early development so you naturally aren't going to have many supporters yet. You actually have a very good amount of supporters for the amount of content you do have, you're way better off than most devs already. If you just focus on working on the game your audience will grow naturally, as the further the game comes along, the more people there are that will be willing to pay.
A lot of people don't want to start supporting a project until it's already got a handful of scenes and has established itself, partially due to getting burned many times over the years by projects that go no where after a couple updates.
The way you're handling it you're going to end up with 1 subscriber that just leaks it for everyone else because nobody is going to have any respect for you lmfao.
Idk about UFO as that game didn't really catch my eye so maybe that was a dumpster fire, maybe not, but I like the writing in this game. The premise is interesting and I was very excited to see how things would progress with the doll. In terms of the characters its too early to tell how the character writing is, but there's a solid foundation.
