Has this update got any new scenes added with the mom I dont trust this dev he released an update years ago that literally had less content then the previous version
I never thought I would ran into this kind of issue or just being too stupid for a renpy game xD But I deleted all saves, everything and still the game ends after the first scene with your mom with the "halloween" message, what am I doing wrong
At least to this point I like what I see![]()
MY bad, didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Wasn't shouting at you, just stating my OPINION on the bush effect. Not trying to change your OPINION about it either.1. No need to shout.
2. Good for you, doesn't change my opinion about it one bit, though.
Wow, you sure took your time to come up with a witty answer.MY bad, didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Wasn't shouting at you, just stating my OPINION on the bush effect. Not trying to change your OPINION about it either.
2. Good that i like the BUSH and good that you don't.
thank you. glad you liked it. i have more.Wow, you sure took your time to come up with a witty answer.![]()
As you seem to have found out about lowercase letters in the meantime, I have no problem with that. I'm sure it was an epic journey.thank you. glad you liked it. i have more.
YES INDEED.As you seem to have found out about lowercase letters in the meantime, I have no problem with that. I'm sure it was an epic journey.
This is absolutely normal for a game that is in development. My feedback:
The game isn't bad, but what's annoying is that you have to play through it again from the beginning with every update. Old save games simply don't work. You should work on that.
for the most part I can't disagree that much other than this. This is absolutely normal for a game that is in development.
Writing is rewritingfor the most part I can't disagree that much other than this.
A well planned story typically won't suffer from rearranging variables at each update.
Putting pen to paper can be useful to avoiding situations such as these in the long term dev cycles.
Sure every now again a dev can come to a point where some reorganizing that could be required in order to optimize code and asset loading etc. But at each update? I've already stopped downloading this game just for that reason. I'd rather wait until it's finished. Specially when updates don't involve more than 20 mins to go through. Restarting over again at every update is hmm, how to put this as politely as I can, irritating as fuck.
I don't mean to come across as a douche that just want to moan, nor do I want to be seen as "telling you how to do your own project". Go ahead and do what you do. But if you really mean it when you say you take feed-back seriously, then there's my two cents.
It is what it is. I'll keep my eyes peeled towards this project, either until folks can confirm that restarting at every update is no more, or 'til the project is completed. One or the other. The title is still worth some attention. But speaking strictly for myself, that's pretty much where I'm at.
Best of luck to you.
I'm not going to go back and forth on this with you beyond this reply, it's simply not worth the hassle. But I wholeheartedly disagree with that bit in orange.I study storytelling, and my view of the world is constantly evolving. I’m always thinking about how to improve my games. I believe that if a developer’s old save files still work, they’re not working hard enough on the game.
Don't waste your breath, this is just a troll project from the dev to gain some public interest and then flip everyone off by putting thick fat futa cocks on the gals.I'm not going to go back and forth on this with you beyond this reply, it's simply not worth the hassle. But I wholeheartedly disagree with that bit in orange.
Typically, a writer will plan his story line before hand, Character intros, some sort of tension building moment or having some form of antagonist, then finish with a resolution. Then planning your code around it. Not sure what sort storytelling you study, but as far as I know, there isn't 17 ways to put a story together. There's a bad way, and there's a good way.
For some, the challenge will be world building, others will have trouble with code and lesser writers will have shallow and under developed characters. All of these will contribute to a bad story. Even though the plot can have potential. Planning the path you wish your story to take before hand can make the difference from a mediocre product to something folks won't be able to stop talking about.
Planning ahead, and working with a draft can save you lots of headaches. I will agree to this though, putting up your ideas on a site like f95Z takes courage and should be encouraged. This site is a fantastic place to test the waters on how your ideas will be received and receive lots of ideas in return. And not giving up is a clear sign of a determined character. While on the flip-side of that, it can also ruin your project if you pay too much attention to what some people will demand of you. "Oh could you add this or that" or "change this or that in your story". Often these will derail your initial idea. Stick to your guns! Don't let anyone tell you what your story should be about.
But I will stick to my guns about proper planning before production. That's just common sense.
Peace.
I can somehow relate to your sentiments, but there are also a fuckton of other similar titles out there to accommodate everyone's tastes. Even when most give you the ability to disable that or skip it entirely. getting hung-up on 1 single title is a bit over the top tbh.Don't waste your breath, this is just a troll project from the dev to gain some public interest and then flip everyone off by putting thick fat futa cocks on the gals.![]()
Oh, you might have misread me. I don't have anything against futa content. And of course it's all just speculation on my part. It's just what I expect to happen based on the history of their game projects and earlier discussions with players about their games. Anyways. ^^I can somehow relate to your sentiments, but there are also a fuckton of other similar titles out there to accommodate everyone's tastes. If we're going to debate what is the most off-putting thing that some devs do. For me it would be devs that lost the plot and think that VN's should be short movies at 60 fucking FPS. Just to slow down production and milk their supporter base that much longer. Then use the excuse of "But 60FPS is much smoother". I don't fucking care about animations. If I wanted to see animations guess what, I'd watch a fucking animated movie. THAT is what pisses me off the most.
I'm a very story oriented player. I pay attention to details, and shitty writing gets under my skin almost as much as being made to wait for 6 months more for 2 or 10 fucking irrelevant animations @ 60fps. I think that particular dev is simply Being a fucking DIK for doing that out of misplaced pride for having the money to always get the most recent hardware. Good for him to produce 4K high quality animations most likely played on a 720P mobile or the average PC/laptop user's 1080P setup.
But I digress.
The point is, there are much more irritating things to be crossed about. 17MOONKEYS doesn't fit that bill if you ask me. I just think he's trying to bite off more than he can chew with more than 1 project in the works. I'm more worried about him burning himself out. Because users will get tired of long waits for little content. At this point it feels like he's just throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. So it's almost inevitable that one of the titles will go dark eventually. And that's what I'm more worried about. And I predict the same for some other oceanic dev that can't seem to put out a single update for either of his titles, even after already over 18 months of waiting for one of those titles. And neither is anywhere near the half way mark yet. For him I predict either 1 title will get dropped or no one will be alive when either get completed. Stubbornness will be his downfall.
And I digressed again. So enough of me,
keeping things into perspective is getting a bit tougher,
and I've got better things to tend to.
Peace out.
Yeah, I'm aware.
This is a helpful feedback. Tnak You!17MOONKEYS
The game's solid, the story is great (except the shark part??? Didnt that happen way too quickly?).
The only trouble is the speed of release.
Relatedly, I'm noticing that you're on this thread almost everyday. It's good to listen to players and so on and to get feedback and to improve bla bla bla.
But, at the end of the day only working will get the work done.
I'd recommend checking the thread once a week (tops) and you really don't need to reply to every comment. Every type of person has every type of opinion, back and forths won't get anyone anywhere. Neither do you owe anyone an explanation or justification or outline of plans.
Focus on multiple projects all at once also isn't good. The Focus is divided, two different story lines get in your head, you start to procrastinate on one (which is less exciting) and so on, it gets worse from there.
Also just somethings that I'd like to see:
-Make the game more horror-y. This sort of story is unique and if you push the horror a bit more, it would be exciting. Straightforwardly explaining the origins of the doll in a QnA was a bad choice story wise.
Keep it suspenseful, thrilling and mysterious (not too much, we're here for the horny after all). For example put a bit more chaos in the doll as if we don't know what it might do to us. It puts a little bit of that fear inside and heightens the senses (Plus everyone likes a good turn in the story). Show don't tell, as the old adage goes. Hint, don't literally spell it out.
-Progression slower. For instance just because a mother wants to have sex with her son, it doesn't mean she will let him see her naked the next day, do you get what I mean? A little bit of gradual corruption goes a long way. But anyways the current story is exciting enough too. Also the shark? *One day* after that incident with the aunt...
-Heighten the moral tension of the characters (especially the mother). In any real scenario, the mother wouldn't be that easy to sway. You've done a great job emphasizing the stress she is under... link the fact that she is super stressed, somehow to her moral fragility. It makes it more exciting (and depraved). But it has to be implied CLEARLY, not stated. It's a skillful task in authorship, but you have the visual medium to tell this story too, it would be fun to see how you can achieve it.
Other than that, this is one of the better games on the site and in this genre, it can definitely enter top 5 for me. Good luck and work hard
What do you mean?Straightforwardly explaining the origins of the doll in a QnA was a bad choice story wise.
