A great game by a great developer. Everything is fine in it, literally everything, it is an exemplary game in html. Seriously, I fully believe that every developer on the Twine engine should be guided by how Incubus City is made.
The key features of the game:
- Surprisingly well-written text. It is noticeable that the author himself gets high from the described scenes. Playing in Incubus City, you really feel like a semi-demonic being, free to decide human destinies: destroy families, rape defenseless innocent girls, kill those who stand in your way...
- Masterfully executed visual design. Nowhere else in similar games have I seen a developer put so much effort into the appearance of the game. Hovers, pop-ups, all sorts of filters, icons, everything flickers and glows, but at the same time retains a sense of style.
- Satisfy the darkest and scariest fetishes of the players. As I said, in this game we take on the role of a real monster, a moral freak who takes out his power on the unfortunate. Of course, not everyone will appreciate this level of cruelty, but even more valuable is Incubus City, because it deftly plays with far from the most popular fetishes. Almost nowhere else will you find such cool shit.
- An abundance of content that is gradually revealed as the game progresses. I have seen some reviewers say that the game is poor in scenes. Oh, guys, you just haven't tasted the very pulp, haven't plunged into the game with your head. When I first started playing Incubus City, I stayed in it for hours and regularly found something new. The replayability is simply off the scale. The same seemingly familiar scenario, over and over again, is able to surprise you with new scenes and features.
Of course, there are disadvantages to the game. I would note two main ones:
- A noticeable number of bugs. They are almost never critical and are mainly associated with the display of certain non-important elements. But, as a fact, they are still present.
- Very high difficulty. It is expressed not so much in the difficult gameplay, but in the non-obvious requirements, for example, for the opening of a new ending. You have to study the guides up and down to find out the course of actions necessary to get new content. However, if you are ready for this, Incubus City will definitely amaze you with its abundance of content.
To sum up, I want to say that I absolutely love this game. It surprisingly accurately fell on my sexual preferences and gave me a couple of dozen hours of wonderful pastime. Wape, the game developer, is a very cool guy, a real professional. He inspired me and many other talented people. He is extremely friendly with his audience and at the same time does not even take money for his work: no matter how much you ask him about the possibility of donate, he only thanks and awkwardly refuses.
If you are still in doubt about whether you should play Incubus City (but not afraid of taboo topics like pregnancy or rape), it is definitely worth at least trying.
Five stars, masterpiece.
