Dev, or anyone else that may know, can I pursue anyone early on or should I be cautious with my choices? Ideally, I would like to pursue a Pauline and/or Eula path, but if the consequences aren't too negative I would like to see where things go with some of the other LI's. If the consequences are too severe thought, I'll just build my points with Pauline and Eula.
Edit: I'm playing chapter 2 with the default save for context. I did play chapter one but I couldn't figure out how to transfer my save properly so chapter 2 default is my starting point.
Right now, the game’s choices mainly focus on helping the MC build relationships or friendships with other characters. If you want to know more about someone, you’ll need to get closer to them or earn Relationship Points (RP). The more RP you have with a certain character, the stronger your bond will be.
By the end of the game, if you’ve earned enough RP, you’ll start gaining Love Points (LP) for specific characters. These will determine your final love interests. Before that, you’ll get to make some important choices. If you decide not to pursue a girl, you won’t gain Love Points from her. But if you choose to go after her, she can become your partner or one of your partners by the end of the story.
For Katherine and Cassidy, it’s fine if you start off with low RP. You’ll still have chances to catch up as the story continues.
Some characters can also get Neglect Points, which happen when you ignore them too much. Ignoring a girl basically means you’re not interested, right? So there’s a chance she might end up with someone else. Still, you’ll have the option to either let her be happy with another man or stay single, especially if you’re not into that kind of situation.
Confirmed characters who aren’t love interests are Jessica, Lily, and Jennifer. They each have their own stories, but you can skip them if you’re not interested in their side plots.
About the save files, it’s a bit messy, I’ll admit, but I already updated Chapter 1 and released Chapter 2. In Chapter 2, I included the default save file inside the package, so you don’t need to download anything separately.
If you’re using a save file from Chapter 1, you can still load it manually. For example, if the file name is 2-2-LT1.save, you just need to load it at Page 2, Block 2. I mean, you don't have to rename it..
For Mac users, it’s a bit more complicated, but I’ve added step-by-step instructions on how to do it.
One more thing: Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 have different screen sizes, which is why I had to build Chapter 2 separately as I have to remake chapter 1 slowly. But don’t worry, you can still use your Chapter 1 save file to continue your progress in Chapter 2.
