So no he doesnt "have to kiss her ass" my bigger issue was that the writing made everyone else dumb to allow the apology to happen, Mrs Collins says absolutely nothing despite the fact that heather could clearly not fire her and there is no (unless i missed) story reason for this its literally just done to show tsundere character traits and (thankfully) give you a choice to do her route or not
Regina is as well but the story doesn't treat Regina like she's blameless it has others call her out on her bullshit (funnily enough mostly the same people who take Heather's side)
I don't think the writing was dumb to have everyone else allow the apology besides Mariam, who I think would side with the MC at that point. the issue is the examples I posted are all from BEFORE she views the work at all, once she does whether you are on her route or not she has no issues. She is being more petty and a worse employee than the MC because she starts shit stirring immediately when she walks in the room, questions his capabilities despite the fact that her mother hired him directly, all while not only being in a position of power because she is the temporary boss but also the "owner" of the place he is living and (if on her route) a character privately calls her out as just being jealous

I think the confirmed routes are Mariam, Mallory, Heather, and the new girl that watches the cameras. Unless something has changed and the author feels like adding more/less into the mix.
