You can shut it down yourself. Just hit the "unfollow" button at the top right and it will be shut down for you.
The thread doesn't "need" to be shut down for anyone but you.

No, the dev was suddenly mia on all of his active platforms (Patreon, Discord, F95). I actually fear there happend something with him.
