I only played the Blacksmith path so far and it is nice to know I've successfully completed the current content. Time to give the General path a go and meet all the new girls.

I'm assuming the Time Traveler quest is a filler and there is nothing to do on it at this time or maybe maxing blacksmith would be the first step in unlocking more.
Yes, the Time Traveler quest is a placeholder for the main storyline.

For now, Blacksmithing is only used in a few quests and as a way to earn gold. It will be used more in the future.

Also, just to let you know, Path 2 has half the content of Path 1, due to me working on Path 1 for most of development. I have planned quests for all characters, I just need some time to fix all bugs from 0.1 and then work on new features.

Thank you and good to know.

I can see the Time Traveler quest leading to the ability to jump back and forth and experience girls from many different time periods. The game definitely has a lot of potential and thank you again for all your work on it.

Ask and you shall receive, here's the new Return screen for Path 1. New UI with all the elements focused in one corner and an added "Go to sleep" button for skipping a day and refilling Energy. Hope this is more useful. Path 2 will be getting the same treatment, of course.

I just started playing the General path and was very disappointed that I was not able to go back to town to visit the innkeeper. I'm not sure why you have it as two distinct paths and hope you plan to integrate them in the future. I always hated the old D&D rules that did not let you use both magic and weapons, unless you were a half elf or something non-human, lol.

Sorry to disappoint. The whole idea, is experiencing completely different outcomes based on your first choice.

That means that if you choose Path 1, characters from Path 2 won't be accessible (and vice versa) unless you decide to do a new run.

This is something that I actually do not intend to change, as it is a very basic idea of this project and if I change it at any point, it will probably force me to rewrite the whole game.

Again, sorry.

A few bugs in Path 2 ...

I'm getting an error crash page after peeking in the bath.

Morwen and the prisoner don't appear on the list of girls current affection display.

Occasionally the battle logic appears to be bugged, unless it is intended to be divine intervention, lol.

Understood, it just seemed natural to visit the town from Path 2 or try to access the castle from Path 1 without having to start from the beginning and there are clearly images on both maps for it. If the player fails as a general he could be sent to the blacksmith or after proving himself to the captain get sent to the castle for training.

You're right about the icons on the map. The castle will be available in Path 1 towards the ending, and the town will be used for several quests in Path 2. I just didn't have enough time to finish working on those for 0.1.

I'm hoping that the ending(s) will tie everything together so that everything makes sense at the end.

It looks much better this way. Maybe reducing the icons a bit more and removing the background would be more interesting. Another interesting thing would be to replace the text images in the game with written text, that way it would be easier for someone to translate your game without having to edit the images.

I guess we'll see how people react to it. It could change again in the future.

Also, if anyone ever wants to translate the game, it would be easier for them to simply contact me so I can change the few text images with their text of choice, since finding out a way to achieve the effects I want with written text would be tough.

Well designed icons would be a more universally effective solution to text images, so maybe a lightening bolt for energy.

Personally, the grind in Path 2 is even worse than in Path 1. The amount of gold you get from battles for the amount of time it takes and the cost of things feels wrong and based on the guide, having to get to affection level 10 to unlock the only real content available is really high as well. Granted, the higher class ladies may not be as easy as the town girls, but still, lol. Hopefully the economy will get better balanced with future updates.

Again, Memories should be free and unlocked with completed quests.

That being said, really looking forward to the next update.

Completely understandable. Here's how the next update tries to combat these:

● Players will earn more gold from victories in field battles, but with some balancing on the difficulty. I think the enemies rarely have the chance to defeat the player's party and some stats will probably change. Some more feedback on this would help greatly. There could potentially be another way to earn gold, to make the economy more similar to Path 1.

● Prices for some store items will change. Not only for the better though.

● The Affection level being 10, could be adjusted, although I'm still not sure. The idea is that every character has at least 3 quests before reaching 10 Affection. As you can see in the Walkthrough, Path 2 has half if not less the quests that Path 1 does, and I'll explain why below. Also, as you mentioned, some characters will be easier/harder to romance, depending on their personality and status.

● I have already added 2 New Memory pages, one for each Path. Now, you can unlock memories by progressing with girls and completing their quests, while still being able to purchase the extra art from the shops. Though these pictures will not be as "spicy" as the purchasable ones. It's also worth noting that I have adjusted some prices on the Memory shop, as they were too high.

Now, about the lack of content in Path 2, I have to tell you, you cannot imagine how hard it was for me to figure out the combat mechanic. It probably took me a month to figure out. I wasn't happy with it though. I changed the whole system two days before release, deleting the old one and remaking it from scratch. This, plus the addition of blinking and outfits, , which I thought of adding during the development of Path 2, added much more work to be done, and quests were left behind. I also had to go back to Path 1 and add everything there too.

I'm realizing now writing this that this might sound simple to someone who works on games on the regular, but I only get to work on this for 2-3 hours max per day and that is only if I'm 100% focused.

Hopefully the new update will satisfy everyone's needs and requests. I'm thinking of adding polls soon, to determine some hard decisions. Again, thanks!

A game where you can take a look at the systems and get new ideas for your game on how to make money is Fantasy Conquest, a very interesting game to say the least.

Checked it out on the forum page. A lot of similarities not going to lie. The dev also seems to have art and various gameplay elements nailed down. On a first look, the only thing I could complain about are some design/user experience decisions and the fact that it sometimes feels "too much" with all these buttons and overlays. I'm going to download it and give it a shot, though. Thanks for the tip.

I prefer playing without cheats and hopefully the developer doesn't use it much either, because it doesn't reflect normal gameplay.
Yeah, as I mentioned before, cheats (gold, actually) can make the game fly by. I understand it though.

I also prefer not to use cheats, I only mentioned them because they exist and because you need a lot of money to level up now that the developer is still balancing the game.

What kind of feedback? The enemies seem to be stronger in many cases and the battle often comes down to only one unit left, thanks to my choice of targets and luck of what the enemy attacks, so don't think that is a problem. There is a bug, but it is in the player's favor, so not sure I want to see that fixed, lol. I'm assuming that favors or divine intervention from Morwen is planned to improve outcomes in battle, maybe an auto victory to skip the battle. Personally, I would liked to see the relative strength for the different units before selecting them, assuming that was left out because the MC would not know that information at first, but after the first battles it should be available before making a selection.

Again, I understand that this is the initial release and it can take time to work out the kinks or add them where appropriate, lol.

Some updates on the next version, by the way. These are some fixes based on feedback mostly.

● New Choice button and font, with new centered animation. Made the text more visible and the animation smoother.
● New option in Preferences, that allows players to toggle the "Breathing Animation" (literally just slightly zooms in and out lol).
● The UI has been remade and the Map Screen is now the default "Return" screen. Also added the ability to go to sleep from map.
● Fixed bad code for multiple reported cases.
● Fixed some quests being replayable when they shouldn't be.
● Fixed some cases of my bad English.

This weekend I'll be focusing on adding more quests, since I'm mostly done with bug fixing and adjustments. I'm kinda worried about adding all the girls' Romance screens on time, since these take a lot to do. I might need to compromise by creating scenes for some characters instead of all of them. We'll see.
