Personally, the grind in Path 2 is even worse than in Path 1. The amount of gold you get from battles for the amount of time it takes and the cost of things feels wrong and based on the guide, having to get to affection level 10 to unlock the only real content available is really high as well. Granted, the higher class ladies may not be as easy as the town girls, but still, lol. Hopefully the economy will get better balanced with future updates.
Again, Memories should be free and unlocked with completed quests.
That being said, really looking forward to the next update.
Completely understandable. Here's how the next update tries to combat these:
● Players will earn more gold from victories in field battles, but with some balancing on the difficulty. I think the enemies rarely have the chance to defeat the player's party and some stats will probably change. Some more feedback on this would help greatly. There could potentially be another way to earn gold, to make the economy more similar to Path 1.
● Prices for some store items will change. Not only for the better though.
● The Affection level being 10, could be adjusted, although I'm still not sure. The idea is that every character has at least 3 quests before reaching 10 Affection. As you can see in the Walkthrough, Path 2 has half if not less the quests that Path 1 does, and I'll explain why below. Also, as you mentioned, some characters will be easier/harder to romance, depending on their personality and status.
● I have already added 2 New Memory pages, one for each Path. Now, you can unlock memories by progressing with girls and completing their quests, while still being able to purchase the extra art from the shops. Though these pictures will not be as "spicy" as the purchasable ones. It's also worth noting that I have adjusted some prices on the Memory shop, as they were too high.
Now, about the lack of content in Path 2, I have to tell you, you cannot imagine how hard it was for me to figure out the combat mechanic. It probably took me a month to figure out. I wasn't happy with it though. I changed the whole system two days before release, deleting the old one and remaking it from scratch. This, plus the addition of blinking and outfits, , which I thought of adding during the development of Path 2, added much more work to be done, and quests were left behind. I also had to go back to Path 1 and add everything there too.
I'm realizing now writing this that this might sound simple to someone who works on games on the regular, but I only get to work on this for 2-3 hours
max per day and that is only if I'm 100% focused.
Hopefully the new update will satisfy everyone's needs and requests. I'm thinking of adding polls soon, to determine some hard decisions. Again, thanks!
