Can there please be an option to turn on and off the new "inn setup" in the game? This would be a helluva lot easier for people who don't have desktop computers or mouse extensions because I'm playing on a laptop with a mouse pad and I can't do ANYTHING.
I'm on a laptop w/ touchpad, and it works almost perfectly fine. The only issue I had was in door placement, seemed to lock up a bit.

Hey all,

Just wanted to give an update on what's been going on, as well as the plans for the upcoming patch, and share a little art progress.

To start with, some people may have noticed the status for next patch numbers not moving that much in the past few weeks. This is because I had some unfortunate, unexpected expenses that popped up as I was finalizing the stable release version. To deal with this, I had to pick up extra hours at my day job, which left me with nearly no time or energy to work on IAW. Thankfully, those expenses have been taken care of now, so I can return to working on the game in my free time.

Moving forward, the next patch with contain a large amount of new furniture and decorations for the inn building system, as well as the ability to interact (and more!) with your temporary guests. In addition, there will be a little more progress to the main story. The other part of the patch will be remakes of some of Alice's sex scenes, and one of Beth's. That leads me to the final part of the next patch, new story content for Beth, which will include at least one new scene, and a complete art update for Beth herself.

As a preview, I've attached an image of Beth's new look. (The uncensored version is available as a bonus for subscribers!)

More info and previews to come in the future!

dagotto One of my favourite parts of this game is watching your art improve over time. I also wasn't originally convinced by how the inn system was upgraded, but it's definitely grown on me. Some slight improvements I'd suggest long term to the in system;

Better keyboard controls for placing things, will also help people on laptpops
Being able to align decorations to a grid system

I just started playing the new version in unity and all, Does the first choice with Rei still counts towards her friendship? It doesn't say anything on screen.

It does not anymore. I decided that Rei will not have a storyline like the other girls, her romance will be done through the main story, same as the priestess/nun girl

Are those characters going to be unavoidable, or does that just mean it's connected to the Inn advancement (like the slave girls I presume).

Edit: Okay, I thought this was about Ritzuki, but now I feel like I missed a whole side of the story somehow ...

Second Edit: Okay, reminded myself about the Priestess, which led me to be reminded which character Rei was ... guess I never knew she had more potential than being our guide, but I suppose I should have guessed ... since she's a she and she's no smaller than the gnome ...

Rei and the priestess's story will not be avoidable, but any sexual encounters will be. Players will always be offered a choice before any sexual encounters that aren't tied to a specific girl's storyline.

Wait... there's a romantic storyline with REI? I can honestly say I had no idea. How does that even work / kick off?

I'm trying to start a new game , with version 0.061 . . .

But when I click the "New Game" button, it takes me to the "Load a save" page ?
(There are no Saves there, because this is first time playing this new 'version' of the re-built game )

If one is starting a new game, there isn't a save yet .

I don't understand this . Something seems wrong here .

When you start a new game, it should ask you which save slot you want to use, so if you’re starting your first game, all of them should be empty.
If you select one, does it take you to the intro screen?

It doesn't actually 'ask' you that . . .

It says "Please select a Save File to use " . . . but there are no "Save Files" to use because they all say "No Save File"
You can't "use" something that isn't there . . .

So, No I didn't click-on any location. . . no reason to, no file there to activate/etc.

Perhaps the "wording" at that location should be changed :

from "Save File to use", to, "Save Slot to use", as you worded it in your reply . . . that is a bit more understandable .

So, now knowing what it was actually supposed to be asking/telling us to do . . . I did click a 'location', and it did take us to the next window .

Thank You .

Hmmm . . .

Got to the Inn, and now 'we' are attempting to 'add' two Hallways to the existing building, (as part of the introduction ? seems a bit early in game to be fiddling with that ) ?

Now I seem to be 'stuck' in that mode, with no way out, and no advancement forward, (as-in, making some 'short-term' rooms ) ?

Also, seems to have no way to 'fix' any, mistakes that were made, while trying to align the Hallways off the main building .:unsure:

Total fail . . . Had to close window to get out of there . . . such a shame . . . was looking forward to play this game again .:(

The building part of the introduction is simply to got through the 3 different "basic" parts of inn building: placing hallways, placing rooms, and placing furniture. You can't remove rooms/hallways in the intro because it is just meant to be an intro, that follows a specific order of actions to trigger the next step (placing 2 hallways, placing 2 rooms, then can either place furniture or end the intro).

I'm sorry to hear that you found it counter-intuitive, as I said, I just meant for it to be a simplified way for the player to get used to the three main mechanics of the inn building.

If you reached the building section, then you pretty much completed 90% of the intro's story anyways, so if you wanted to give it another try, skipping the intro goes past all of that, and fully unlocks all the features of the inn building mode, so you can place hallways and rooms, and erase them, whenever you want.

I think I found a bug, I don't know what the problem with the exclamation mark is, but it's been days since not dispatch. Does anyone know what the problem is or how to solve it? Screenshot_20240706_111147_Inn Another World.jpg

So, nothing has to actually be 'connected' to one another ?
You can just put a hallway down, attach a 'room', add furniture, and your done ?
(again, not obvious . . . when experiencing this part, you feel like your actually , building-out the Inn, as part of the story)
In-as, the MC's is still getting used to their situation, and your throwing at him how to 'build-out' the Inn, before they have even settled in . . . a bit premature ?

So, "skipping-the-intro", do you mean, from when you start the game ?
Because, I didn't see any way to 'skip' the building-intro, it's-self ?

I had placed two hallways . . . it wouldn't advance the next step, as your saying it should have .
When the panel came back, showing the two tabs, "Rooms", and "Hallways" . . . "Rooms" was not highlighted, as "Hallways" had been before . . . clicking on it did nothing, was just stuck in limbo .
There is obviously something not working as intended .
