whoopsie, fixed the image part in the bbcode. didn't notice "attach" doesn't work for posts the attachment wasn't attached to.

hahah, i sort of expected somebody would grab an image of it if i posted one. easier to fit into an existing signature and all that.

i've tried to fit the text version into yours if you want to give it a spin, but it's not an exact copy and probably not worth the hassle.

(once it's in, clicking the gear icon twice, clicking inner empire's icon, selecting change size, and putting in something in range of 16-48px for both width and height might make it fit a bit better, but too low value will probably misalign the bottom text)

Greetings! Do you know yet if the pregnancy variable that is going to be checked in the future will be able to check from previous game versions, or will it be likely that a new save is needed?

The pregnancy system, and checking its effects, is already in the game. If your Selene wasn't lucky (or was, depending on your preference) she might already be experiencing some early symptoms in the last game update. :whistle:

Regarding pregnancy (and any other choices made, aspects, and whatnot) and the save system... I'm making the game so that you don't need new saves in any future update. Old saves should work from anywhere.

You may only need a new save if I make a serious mistake somewhere and there's no way to fix it post facto. Then, and only then, might a new game be needed. And rest assured, if something like that happens, I will report it separately in such a way that it will be hard not to notice (e.g. with a big CAPS caption on the game launch or something like that).

So, don't worry about it. Although it should be noted, I've seen people worrying about their saves more than once lately, for no particular reason. Maybe it's not even related to my work, but to other devs who manage to break their games with literally every update and find nothing better to do than ask players to start over every damn time.

The thing is, I can't remember if I wrote about Barnabas showing up again or not... Okay. What else can I say without saying too much? Well, he's a former slave who bought his freedom. However, the liberated often remained in the service of their former masters, only masters became their patrons. But who is this powerful patron that pushed his former slave into a prestigious position of tax appraiser, and why? And what a coincidence that Barnabas happens to be in the same settlement as Sargon's troupe. But he didn't come to the show. And a certain other gentleman came out of Sargon's tent after the performance. Someone Iolanta had known for a long time.

Remember this. If Barnabas ever appears on the horizon one day. But, of course, if.

Nothing to do with you or anyone else, I was just assuming if the variable to track internals was added later it wouldn't retroactively know how many had already happened :)

Hey so i'm doing another playthrough this time with the survivor origin and i think i found a grammar error.
It's at the character creation, in the buttlerflies in the wind section.

" The soldiers laugh and line up in two queues. How many were there? Ten? Twenty? I'm aren't sure. I only remember some fragments "

Shouldn't just be "I'm not sure"?

I'm not a native english speaker, so maybe i'm just dumb.

Short answer. The long development was foreseen by me in advance and the code is optimized for it.

Long answer. All the basic variables required for the system to work were added initially and have not been changed since. Dialog and individual “event” variables are indeed added (initialized) with each update. Dialog variables even by the thousands. But this does not interfere with new saves in any way. If the game needs to “remember” one of them, its specific true/false state is checked. When it was added doesn't matter.
