Finally got around playing it. I haven't tried all scenes and variations yet, but I can see why it took so long & highly appreciate how differently things can go with even more replay potential than there was already on past updates.

As for your “joining the chorus” about Greeny and the possibility of a mutual virginity-loss scene... I'm afraid not. That would require a completely different variation not only for the scene with him, but for a whole series of scenes leading up to it. For example, how two embarrassed virgins, having barely met (three days have passed in the game), already ran into the bushes to have sex? Such things should have been worked out in advance. But I took a slightly different path.

In the existing scene with him, there is already a more “shy” version for Selene and... a more lewd one, where she takes the initiative into her hands. And also, I don't think Greeny will be the last virgin on the path of a budding actress. So, who knows?

Ah you're too sweet Oh I completely understand, this update was already packed with so many variables that it would've been a nightmare to add a entire different path with Greeny, let alone add it now after you already finished it. I'll gladly wait for a new virgin character for Selene, maybe a young man who lives in a city or village so there's a realistic chance of them meeting again. Or maybe that virgin is a very large man whose name beings with Y...

Oh, I forgot to mention in my earlier comment, but both of Smiley's scenes were so good! He reminded me so much of Cadonis. I miss the man

Something tells me that he misses Selene too. And soon he'll show it. In his own way. A lot.

Since we're talking about the trio, I kinda wish we had a lot more interaction with Tail or "choosing" him over Smiley instead of having his interaction being shoe-horned into together with the other three. I get why we can't tho, seeing that even for Smiley you have two different (at least that I know of) paths with him.

I am crossing my fingers we'll meet the Trio, and Greeny, especially Greeny and Tail, in the future.

I have to allocate my resources wisely. This update took so long that it caused quite a... strong reaction from some people. Adding another variation (only with Tail) to the hot springs sequence would have meant another month, if not two, of work.

I have to balance between enough and perfect. Striving for the latter can easily bury the story under the weight of everything that is theoretically possible (but not desirable) to add.

Very well written CYOA kinda game. The setting is interesting and thankfully doesn't follow the more recent "LA demographics" trend in fantasy. The characters' cultures and appearances are distinct and commented upon realistically.
Sadly, the way people speak is still very much in modern American English. Also, I'm about 98.76% sure the author's native language is Russian, which leads to some clunky Engrish in places.

Still, the characters are compelling and believable. Iolanthe is just great all around. The pacing is very good and the author wields tension to great effect:

Feels like I'm reading a very decent Game of Thrones fanfic. It'd be a great Choice of Games title.
But that also means that the story is pretty much completely linear. However, choosing your sexual partners, which I believe is the most important part of an H-Game, is entirely up to the player. The character customization (origin-wise at least) is pretty nice too.

I worry about the scope of the story. I've played through to the end of the 1.8 version, and it feels like the game is still broadly in the first act. The way some plot elements are set up leads me to believe that the overall story might lead into proper courtly/political intrigue. And those can get very messy and annoying to wrangle (speaking of Game of Thrones).
So, dear author, I hope you don't burn out doing this, as I'm interested in your world and your characters and would love to read more.

Yeah, i think the other mods are basically stopped at their first iteration. They can still be used, just won't have replacements for the portraits added after their creation.

I just want to say that you, Defiant Explorer, i have to say that you are a legend, your combination of different types narrative (casual, world-building, erotic) it is highly immersive and scarily good.
