Yeah, I get that...it just feels a bit too harsh compared to normal dialogue Selene gets most of the time, so the difference is a bit jarring in my personal opinion.

Well, I can replace “bon appétit” with “enjoy your meal.” And I probably should. It's not a big deal, really. English isn't my native language, and I didn't think it would cause native speakers to think, “Oh, that's a French phrase, France, yeah, it's not from this world.” That kind of association could break the immersion in my fictional world. Sorries if that's the case, I never thought of it that way before.I don't know...it feels weird for an otherwise very different world in a very different state of technology. Then again: It is your world after all, so for all we know, Yardanari might speak what we would call French.
