Is heading towards two updates a year, at the moment its three
Complete bullshit...
What facts are you relying on to be able to say that ?
As I said to wlazinna, the fact an update required, for example four months, does NOT imply that the next one to need 6 or 7 months !!
The updates are independent of each other...
How long an update takes to develop depends only on how much content the developer chooses to put into it at the beginning and how well he can correctly estimate the resulting workload: nothing else !! Period !!
What you do here, is just trying to fool people...

They give little in the way of progress reports. Guess it looks okay, but for a pornographic game there's little of that in it, might be okay in three years unless they ditch it for something that pays better.
* facepalm *
See reply above in this post...

I get accused of simply hating this game, but I see the potential and more, besides that they're getting paid and its a product.
Saying so much bullshit to the detriment of the game means bashing it, yes... You say "to see the potential (of the game I guess)" but you consider it a viable solution to ditch it the same way you suggested the dev to give up making games a while ago *facepalm* *facepalm*
Before you keep complaining as if people like me are unfair to you saying it, you better wonder WHY...

Just some cold facts about IoM updates:

IoM initial launch - 16.07.2021
0.0.2 - 17.09.2021, took 64 days to publish (~5.7 updates per year at this pace)
0.0.3 - 4.12.2021, 79 days (~4.6)
0.0.4 - 20.03.2022, 107 days (~3.4)
0.0.5 - 13.06.2022, 86 days (~4.2)
0.0.6 - 10.10.2022, 120 days (~3)
0.0.7 - 24.02.2023, 138 days (~2.6)
Today, 21.06.2023, 118 days and counting

* Release dates are taken from MarcialART's Patreon page (for Nightly Massage Members and above).
* Number of days includes the release day.
* I couldn't find any comparable data about the content of updates (like number of new renders, lines of codes, animations etc) as MarcialART doesn't publish it, at least not for a general public. So any mechanical collation of those numbers assumes that the updates are equal.

And once again, his subscribers (which I was once) seem to tolerate this:

As long as the money keeps coming they'll keep milking with low content updates if only to extend this. If patrons drop off I think they'll simply ditch the project and rebrand with something new, or just get a job with the skills gained while making this "game". Sadly too many people want to pretend to be buddies with these people, in my opinion they're supplying a product and should be held to account by their patrons.

You make some fairly good points, specifically about the relationship of Patrons and h-game developer. You provide some insightful comments on project management, estimates, and quality of the work.

Yet I can't help but feel uncomfortable for the seemingly obsessive defense / activity on this thread. You're not paid to comment on this thread, so clearly you feel a strong desire due to person interest in the success of the project. Watching you write post after post with crazy amount of emojis and 10 different arguments in a single post makes me think you're building an unhealthy mental health state from posting and reading on this thread.

Maybe it's time to take it easy.

Tangentially, as a team lead you should know you don't get people to listen to you by waving your credentials around. You do it with empathy, with patience, and with a level of kindness. Sure your team members might listen to you because they have to, but they do not respect leaders without those qualities. Or at least pretend you have those qualities! :)

As for this game, I came back after months. Sadden to see little meaningful updates and tons of renderings that probably won't even make it into the game. It seems this is typical for the game's release cycle and the dev isn't ghosting. I guess it is what it is.

I think this game is definitely above average though. Has great potential once it finally gets to the end game sex / plot scenes

Quality wise I've always said that the game is pretty good, just a quantity issue and the grotesque gaps between updates, there's very little progress updates from the dev and when they are it's usually the same images of the MC strolling through a gym or so e random nonsense unrelated to the game. The dev seems pretty aggressive in his own defence too.
Nonetheless I see the point that it can appear crazy and obsessive when folks comment on here. For me it's just my own insight after supporting, I understand it infuriates the ardent supporters, my comments are for people like myself who expect my moneys worth out of things.
Though I have to state that there is still to be an update I think? When they do update let me know, we can start pleading for a "hero".

Hi cleanfeel,

Finally a fair reply... :)
Thank you, I appreciate it. ;)

You're not paid to comment on this thread, so clearly you feel a strong desire due to person interest in the success of the project.
That is 100% true. My strong "desire" that you mentioned comes from the fact that I am supporting the game at the highest level for months and the dedication I see in the dev.

Watching you write post after post with crazy amount of emojis and 10 different arguments in a single post makes me think you're building an unhealthy mental health state from posting and reading on this thread.
Thank you for your concern, despite what it seems, I am well... ;):giggle:
I only am harsh when I think the messages I react to deserve it...
if someone speaks to me like you did here, I have no reason to be harsh... ;)

Moreover, I never argue about personal tastes: I deeply respect this...
I reacted to people trying to pass off their unmet personal tastes as objective flaws (what they are not : objective flaws are not a matter of taste, they exist for everyone) or saying untrue things, which is unfair and can mislead other people.
My goal is just to bring here a fair nuance because, as youd said, I feel a strong desire to the success of this project... And that will remain as long as the dev is dedicated to it.
Trust me, I replied kindly first (all is here but far above this thread) and explained my pov : I mostly got no answer and the bashing continued from the same people... Therefore, I changed my tone towards them because I doubted (and I still am) honesty of most posts from them...
It is easy not to go through that: discuss with me when my reaction does not match what is...

When a misunderstanding arises from what I say, even if my interlocutor reacts harshly, I try to clarify my thinking and often that settles the conflict.

Tangentially, as a team lead you should know you don't get people to listen to you by waving your credentials around. You do it with empathy, with patience, and with a level of kindness. Sure your team members might listen to you because they have to, but they do not respect leaders without those qualities. Or at least pretend you have those qualities!
I do not want to flood about that (off topic) : the first quality a leader must have, imho, is to be fair (never mean (obviously), and not too soft)... That is what I try the most here : being fair.
Here, I am not at work and I lead no one here : I am just very demanding about being fair...

I cannot help but react when I read here ridiculously wrong things leading me to think their writers are dishonest...
I post only rarely, I mostly react... And what I say is carefully thought : I will never react harshly to someone trying to explain his point of view to me especially if we do not agree.

Best regards.

When you go on latest updates, it says 9 months. Usually, that's the last update. It's not the case here?
Heading towards six or so months since last one, I say that because there's still no "seven day countdown" or something like that, so by the time they do it'll be six months.

It is not the case, no. Here was the 3-hour until release announcement: #1,025 and the person asking "for a hero" when the last update was released: #1,029

The latest updates page on F95Zone isn't always correct. Before making assumptions based upon the latest updates page, always check OP and skim through the last couple of pages in the thread to see if someone has already asked/accused this with someone responding or to see if there is update news already posted.

Well, I stand corrected then. Thanks for the clarification
