As much as I don't like the dev's milking in terms of writing and progression, he made a lot of groundwork for Steam release. It doesn't mean anything for you, but this project isn't for you. It's for the developer. Game making is always a financial endeavor, for most game developers. Cases like Dwarf Fortress is rare, and even they turned for profit for cash money.But here there is no difference in picture quality. Actually, there is no difference at all.
Yes, there are 106 images in directory „remastered”, but they did not look like new scenes and I did not see any bigger improvement, that required 6 months.
The good news is that old saves are working, so that there is no need to start from beginning.
