Hmm, there are indeed inconsistencies in the story that the developer wants to build, so many parts have been reworked.
My advice, it's best to finish the story line first.
As for the development time, it's actually quite reasonable, looking at the hand drawn quality is really impressive.

how to skip grind and unlock gallery ?

First, close the game if it's running, then create a file with the same name as the CHEAT CODE above in the first line of this document, in the same folder where the game's executable file is located (Innocent Witches.exe). Any extension will do, for example .txt. After that a new option will appear in the game, in "extra" -> "extra", which will allow you to unlock the memories. Additionally, when starting some of the chapters via the New Game -> Select Chapter menu, you will get an option to start it with lots of gold and high stats.

I know it's the dev's freedom to make what they want & the supporters' choice fund it, but I'm really curious to know what kind of supporters this game has that all the releases largely look like:

• Added a scene with pointed eared midget
• Added new step to Granny scene that has existed forever in the game
• Fixed a few bugs we introduced last release
• Added new bugs to pad the next changelog.
• Moved content from Old plot that part of Old Plot and was moved to New Plot to New New Plot in preparation for Final New New Plot
• Fixed Typos & added new typos to pad the next changelog.
• Added Live 2D animation for scene for a random scene that has existed in the game for 3-4 years.
• Moved a scene to Old Plot to add it back in Final New New Plot.

It feels the devs have spent years & years post-release patching the game before it actually releasing it. I have suspicion that the devs ensure old saves don't work so people replay the whole game and don't realize barely anything has been added in the latest release. Governments have come, completed full terms and voted out but this game has crawled in that whole time. I'm not even mad but amazed at the chutzpah of this whole thing.
