Man I really can't hate on Joe after all the things he's done to save this project from the disaster it was but god damn I can't defend the development time when compared to the content given.

Despite everything I really don't mind the Minerva part at the beginning.

I'd mind it a lot less if there was more to support this being a porn game.

The idea of this being a "S&M/CBT" and "cuck" fetish game in secret has merit.

Here's my review of the last update for those on the fence of whether to try it out:

So I played through starting from Act 2 Chapter 1. This update was really just a lot of polishing. Especially the hint system is now good enough that you don't have to read through every text to know what to do. You can pretty reliably skip through everything and then look at your hints to see what needs to be done next, which is a blessing for those of us who've played through this game in the past.

Furthermore, the most annoying part of the last update, which was waiting 1 week for Hagrid to get the skirts quest done, got removed by you being able to simply summon him by owl, this makes the last parts of the game not drag as much.

Finally there's a few smaller additions: A small date with the main girl, which is really more just an introduction to the dating system in general, as its just asking them questions about their goals etc. and a few shower voyeur scenes that can be accessed by getting a potion by Snape that makes you invisible and then searching for the girls in the morning or evening in their respective dorm showers. These scenes are pretty small though and only complete for Luna and Daphne. They feature them masturbating in the bath. You only see them from behind though and its just their regular sprites being reused, so it's honestly not that exciting.

Overall I would say this is a pretty good update... if it had taken 3 weeks that is. That this kind of update takes them, a team of I think 5 (?) members more than 2 months (last release was mid july, I checked) is quite honestly ridiculous. Honestly since Joe Banks has joined the team, the game has finally been going in the right direction, but the development speed is still ridiculously slow. I very much feel like the "core" part of the team is taking a month long vacation after every update and then doing 10 hour work weeks till the next. Not that I can blame them with so many patreons just sucking it up.

Also, as someone else already mentioned, the missing mini games from the last update that 'barely didn't make it in' are nowhere to be found? What the hell?

TLDR: If you want to replay a less buggy 0.6A go for it. If you're expecting new content, you're out of luck.

Your review is spot on. I really would like Joe to tell us where those mini-games went. If they had been included I would have viewed the update very differently.

Here's hoping my message doesn't get deleted again but this game really has the worst development time of all patreon games I have seen and quite honestly does not deserve the money it gets.

Well, there are some other games with the same issue too like Fall:Out, Witch hunter trainer,.... I must say I feel sad to see a game with good arts like this one to have a bad developer

This one's suffering from a simple issue- they are polishing something that isn't finished.
Sure, fixing bugs is important but polishing up finished content should really be done with a complete game not something that's stuck at 20% of the content needed.

With incremental release game development built around a patreon funding method the 80/20 rule does really apply. You can get 80% of the bang for 20% of the work. Like you mention they are really driving towards nailing down each chapter before adding new content - then adding something to the game that requires them to re-polish the work they have already polished.

For a game like this an alternating content/polish release schedule might work better for keeping the fans happy. I don't know what their art and writting bandwidth is though, so they may be bottlenecked which may be contributing to the issue.

I doubt it is a simple moneygrab issue - this game is much better than what I would expect for a money grab. Coordinating a team of developers for a project that only pays side job cash to hit regular dates is probably more difficult than it sounds.

5 ‘sex’ scenes after nearly two years, doesn’t seem justifiable. Especially since 2 of those aren’t with main girls and 1 of the others is essentially just a spanking.

It’s a shame because it’s a fun game with some decent gameplay. The art is gorgeous.

I guess I’ll check back in a year or two when there is actually some content worth getting to.

So, which is the latest version? I mean, i see a link to download 0.6Beta wich seems to be the last one, but there is also another link to download 0.6.1alpha + advanced animations wich is suppose to be older but the number means its actually newer... Could somebody help plz? xD

As a former patreon guy (as are many here) i can tell you the following. Before Joe (and others) took over the former devs let slip out that they actually milking us and keep doing it so until the money would drop significantly. Because why not. Problem was. We found out.

A shitstorm later and some devs fired and new devs taking over alot of new promises where made. Joe tried to the best of his abilitys to bring the project on the right track and finally delivering the scenes that where promised. Mind you we already had years of development going on with showing 0 sex or even sexy or anything in that regard to provide to the audience.

Joe then stated it takes alot of work to make the plot go into the "sex" direction and fixing alot of the code that was quite frankly a mess. Only problem with that was it sounded exactly like the same problems the former devs mentioned when admitting in milking us.
As alot of former Patreons left and came here to rant alot started shooting at Joe who said one main girl route will be finished by the end of 2020. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and said i would wait and see where this is going before i start supporting again.

From what i see there is nothing that deserves my pledge for this company anymore. Be it this project or further projects. This company is literally dead to me an all their projects as well. But i can not understand how they still make that amount of money. I guess many new patreons didn't know about the shit from the past nor do they care.

But i will not blame joe for any of this. As far as i can tell its like he got the job of a sinking titanic right before the ship splits apart. If he had pulled it off ppl would have blamed him (that the issues where not as big as he told them) and if he failed to do it in time (which seems what happend) they would blame him for not keeping his promise.

Non the less im out. To the rest enjoy the game whenever (if ever) it is done.

I pledged last month as I like to give something for the games I play. I dropped to $1 this month. IMO they should be updating at least once every 2 months and adding a sex scene with a main girl each time they do. All the other characters are essentially bonus and should only be progressed as ‘extra’. So this is what I think would be reasonable;

Update 1: Hermoine and Ginny
Update 2: Daphne and Minerva
Update 3: Susan and the girl with the minister
Update 4: Luna and ?

At least that way the we get some real progress.

I really love the art, the story is silly but fun. The mini games are enjoyable but I resent spending 20 hours on a porn game with very little porn in it.
