Hello, Wizards and Witches!

Another 10-day development cycle has come to an end, and it’s time to share the latest updates on the development of Innocent Witches.

Let’s start with an art preview (available in the next post). This time, we see a casual moment between Marcus and Xandria having a private conversation in the picturesque Forbidden Forest. The dialogue clearly promises to be intriguing, as reflected in their emotions—ranging from embarrassment and thoughtfulness to cheerful smiles and playful glances. It seems the conversation has a subtle undertone, with Xandria trying to extract something from Marcus, perhaps ready to offer something in return.What might they be talking about? Jokes, secrets, or perhaps something more personal? Share your guesses!


Now onto the main news!

The team is back to full-scale work after the New Year holidays. Some team members continued working even during the holiday period, focusing on tasks from the backlog. These included gameplay improvements and reintegrating content from the old storyline.

For example, we re-added the ability to purchase erotic stories from Hagrid, and interactions with him have become more polished and convenient. Additionally, changes were made to the system for unlocking main menu elements featuring Luna: now, if these elements have already been unlocked, the game will no longer notify players about it redundantly.



Beyond that, the team has implemented several minor fixes and improvements to polish the gameplay and smooth out rough edges, making the game more enjoyable for players.

Since January 12, we’ve been actively integrating text and artwork into the code for Chapter 2 of Act II. This chapter consists of approximately 31 events, some of which vary depending on the chosen waifu and previous decisions. So far, about one-fifth of the content has been fully integrated.

Meanwhile, work on the text and artwork for Chapter 3 of Act II is nearing completion. As this chapter contains less text than the previous one, its integration will begin immediately after Chapter 2 is finalized, ensuring no delays due to unfinished text.

Once the artists and writers have completed their tasks for version 0.12A, we’ll hold a series of meetings to outline tasks for version 0.12B. This release will focus on developing the secondary storylines introduced in 0.12A and further reintegrating content from the old plot.

Additionally, our Live2D animator has started working on the updated main menu background featuring Hermione. This version will include new additions, such as outfit and accessory changes. The overall format will be similar to the current version of the main menu background with Luna Lovegood, which has received high praise from the players.



Based on the experience gained during the development of version 0.12A, we’ve decided to focus on optimizing the scale of new content in version 0.12B and future releases by creating more compact events. This approach will allow us to release updates faster, ensuring players receive new content more frequently.

An analysis of the current process revealed that the main slowdown is caused by the extensive script and the large volume of text required to implement all the events. By reducing exposition and emphasizing compact but visually rich events, we aim to speed up development and improve team efficiency.

During the continued development of the game, the amount of text and events in each chapter has been steadily increasing. However, this means that it takes more time to create, integrate, and connect everything into a cohesive gameplay experience.

We’d like to hear your thoughts on this topic. What do you prefer? Do you enjoy shorter chapters with less text and fewer events, but with enough erotic content in them? Or do you prefer longer chapters with more diverse, text-based events involving various characters and a moderate amount of erotic content spread throughout them?

The main question here is about the volume of the story events and plot exposition, and not the lewd stuff, as it’s always playing the major role in the development and is considered the main goal regardless of the amount of story that supports it.

I truly don't understand. How did that option get 51% votes with the game in its current state. The massive amount of unnecessary and lengthy conversations that don't pertain to any of the girls is one of the game's biggest flaws. Too many "discuss with character x" which could be just thoughts in the MC's head. Or maybe they mean they want the narrative to make more sense and the characters to act more believably? Because even with the amount of writing the characters are written very inconsistently. Also "Deeper immersion on the game world" ????? What?? It's Harry Potter. The world has been made. What immersion in the game world would you even be referring to? I just don't know. Am I missing something here?

I transfered from Alpha0.11 to Beta0.11.2-Fix3. Saves can't be transfered. I intended to skip to o back to where I left but i don't want to grind for the 3999 gold I had.

Getting gold in this version is quite easy. Just grade papers for one in game week while holding ctrl and you get like 1500 in 1 minute.

*Bug Report*

tldr; knowledge popup first choice dont go proper entry spot but subsequent do (within same popup only).

I'm playing current build (0.11.2beta i believe) and i think i found a very minor but confusing bug for first time players. When you get new knowledge, the first selection will just take you to the knowledge page instead of that particular entry. I think the first one was "Advancing Text" and "Dialogue History". When I selected advancing text, it just took me to the top of the dialogue page so i saw "Hide Dialogue" and "Text Window" which where just question marks. Confused and forgeting what i had already clicked i just just went back and clicked the other (only) choice, dialogue history, and it went to teh proper spot and i could read both entries. This has happened for every knowledge popup up to the "Diary" which is where im currently at.

"Fixed X bug", "Updated X mechanic", "Added something new to the UI" - I played this around 2021, can someone tell me if it's worth re-playing? Was the content added in the last 4 years decent? No, nothing has changed in terms of what we primarily want for progress. They added a goblin side character and some small, short scenes which come and go very quickly almost at random. The game requires a significant sum of reading, albeit some of it is still loosely disconnected from what is actually happening. They state that old content is being re-added, but what and for who is up in the air. Mechanics have been compacted and a few new densely-drawn backgrounds have been added, but in terms of naked women it is as scant as we collectively wish it would be scantily clad.

You cannot fuck Hermione or Luna. Almost all of the prefect content is femdom or foreplay or oral sex meant to lead into actual, real sex. There is very little that has changed in terms of primary sexual content despite the fact that in terms of gameplay and story everything has been carefully, lovingly reworked. There is a relatively complex minigame rework with Daphne which appears to have taken a decent sum of effort, and they added for a very brief time some minor side characters who skirt in and out of the periphery.
