Public News 01.05.2025

Hello, wizards and witches!
April has come to an end, and it’s time to look back at what we’ve accomplished this month. It was packed with activity, and over the past weeks, the team made significant progress toward completing patch 0.12A while also steadily moving forward on 0.12B. Here’s a breakdown of what’s been done.
During the first ten days of April, we focused on internal testing for Chapter 2 of Act II — one of the core parts of patch 0.12A. Testing was split into three phases. First, we ran the testing in real-time, fixing technical and visual issues on the go. Then, we held several internal team sessions with streams to share impressions and suggest improvements for various scenes.
The final phase involved testing by our Cannoneer-tier+ patrons. Thanks to their feedback, we were able to fix the bugs that were missed during the internal testing stage. We ended up addressing most of the reported issues, bringing the chapter to a more polished, immersive state.

Meanwhile, work continued on the second half of the patch — preparing Chapter 3 of Act II. By that point, two-thirds of its text had already been translated, edited, and partially integrated. We began actively assembling logic, writing code, and implementing art. In addition to that we also improved Sonia’s UI responsiveness, making her menu smoother and more enjoyable to use.

In the second third of April, the focus shifted fully to Chapter 3 of Act II, which makes up the remaining part of patch 0.12A. Around 28 self-contained events are planned for it — including dialogues, location transitions, and full-screen scenes. Some will vary based on the chosen waifu, adding more immersion, as well as replay value.

At that point, about a third of those events had already been added to the game. The goal was to complete the rest by the end of April so we could begin internal and closed testing of the full patch in May.

We also added a new location — the Gryffindor Common Room — which will be accessible both in story events and for free visit. We’ll continue expanding the available locations with the addition of Slytherin and Ravenclaw common rooms in future. In his time between other tasks one of our artists also began updating older locations, like Classroom 609, and adding subtle animations to existing scenes, making the game world feel more alive and immersive. Neat! :D

In the final ten days of April, most of Chapter 3 of Act II was integrated — currently around 60% complete in terms of logic, text, and art. We didn’t fully finish it in time for internal testing, but we’re working daily, and the progress is steady. Every step brings the release closer.

Another key task was inserting emotions into Chapter 2, which had been finished at this point. Now, all dialogue includes facial expression changes and, when available, matching hand gestures. This gives conversations a more dynamic and expressive feel.

We also took into account feedback from Cannonier-tier patrons who shared their thoughts on our Discord server regarding the amount of text in Chapter 2. Some text blocks felt too long, so we trimmed or split them into optional dialogue branches. Now players can choose to “Discuss in detail” a certain topic or skip straight to the point.

Meanwhile, work on patch 0.12B is in full swing. Three team members are each focusing on different parts of the update. Our artists are also split into two groups: one implementing corrections and small additions for the 0.12A assets while the insertion is in progress, the other creating new illustrations and scenes for 0.12B. This parallel workflow helps us prepare the next patch ahead of time.

That wraps up April. We’re getting close to the release of patch 0.12A, and we’re grateful to everyone interested in the game, your feedback always helps us make the game better.

We’ll meet again very soon in the next news update. Until then, take care and don’t forget to enjoy life!

Peace to everyone✌

Yours,
Sad Crabs.

Man, what a weird game. Compelling story, truly, but man, it's so slow moving that I just can't find the motivation to actually progress... Weird game, honestly. Feels like I'm not even playing a porn game half the time and am just poking around to see if I can get the story to progress to where I should probably be.

I just finished Act 1, and just don't feel all too compelled to keep going even if I actually got to one full on sex scene now lol. Overall, interesting experience, maybe I'll get back to actually seriously going through it when I'm not feeling so bored with all this slow stuff.

6 years later. So wizards and witches, we're ready to announce that our team is already finishing update 0.15a and continuing to work on 0.19B. But you can only play in 0.11a, since we haven't really done anything other than coming up with new excuses and drawing scenes with an elven maid. The content in version 0.10 is still the largest in terms of volume. Good luck wizards and witches

It will have been more that a decade scene this game started and barely and adult content. If the game isn't going to feature copious amounts of lewdness, don't put a bunch of half naked girls on the banner. I can't image how they kept the artist on this long, I guess it's a commission thing. Everyone likes the art so I'm glad they're getting paid.

Is the development model kind of overly complicated? Like

. It's not hard to understand, especially if you've been following for a long time. Just unnecessary. I'd rather read an actual novel than be drip fed miniscule updates with no action. Most of the dialogue makes me think "this could've been email".

But I am impressed how after all these years this game hasn't been taken down due to copyright. So many awesome non-lewd fan projects have been shut down over the years, I can't believe jk hasn't taken action. The names weren't even changed... but I know its dumb to talk about this now.

And yes, I'm butthurt about not being able to sex Hermione.

That's actually an interesting topic.
Maybe JK chose not to take an action? Because it'd be a bad PR with no profit, smth like Streisand effect?

Probably because money isn't that much - enough for those fat ass jerks who milk this piece of a product for a decade now, but not enough for people like JK to take an interest?

Or maybe because black PR is also PR? I believe there are hundreds of thousands of people who are aware of this 'game', and they were only interested in it because they still keep at least a slightest interest in HP universe. It is unacceptable for JK herself to do adult stuff, so let someone else do it.

Probably as long as this isn't a game but some funny pictures for jerking it's not a big deal. So the devs, knowing this, don't do shit deliberately. Not just because all their agenda is to earn some money as long as the current flows, then dissappear. But IF they'd do the game - questions will arise.

Also afaia some devs are Russian. Though I don't know whether they live or taking their 'production' in Russia or somewhere else, but it's probably a point too.
Also just because as long as it's not a game but

All these favorable conditions and no actual product. They don't do their game for a decade, they do nothing. That's what I find the most outrageous - they could've done a game a long time ago, but they just don't fucking want it or need it. A decade in an indie gamedev - everyone would be a professional now.

The thing is that sincere "fan fiction" is effectively always a copyright issue.

Parodies are not.

You have to imagine JKR and her lawyers in court, trying to prove that the scene with the MC (who is he anyways) spanking and fucking a naked Minerva was not a parody, not substantially transformative, and does not show the characters in a new light.

They might get bonus points on the question how creative their own IP is.

Then again everything in this game is hand-crafted, substantially different from the original appearance, and clearly marketed as a (porn) parody.

Lastly, the market harm. The whole Harry Potter IP has generated something like 15 billion USD in value. We're talking Star Wars levels of revenue. And you cannot prove that even a single cent would have went into buying this game, rather than a book or Blu-Ray of the original. If anything, it went the other way - games like this being free advertising for the original.

Bethesda Softworks turned Arena into Morrowind and had begun working on Oblivion in the time period that they have squandered.
