That's what I mean. Imagine you're 10 years into a job and you suddenly tell your boss this:

"I have been struggling with my team to find direction. We don't even have our workflow down fully. Our team did not have somebody checking our work for consistency against our client's expectations. This has resulted in extremely poor performance and a low success rate. We have not met any of our goals thus far.

Anyway we just got a guy to check our work."
They pulled a Latin America—took half the budget to half-make the game, and the other half? They're probably blowing it on anime figures, no doubt. Haha.

Thanks again, German friend.

So let me get this straight. They have been operating this entire time - nearly ten years - without a finalized design doc and coordination system / functional hierarchy for writers? In addition to this, they have been operating under these same constraints without... a text/storyboard QA developer?

Do you realize how deadly these words would have been if they were spoken in any corporate environment? These are seriously concerning, project-killing statements.

Is this why there has been so much difficulty with maintaining a consistent direction with the plot and characters? In addition to this, their art team is... operating ahead of the writing team, and the plan is to do this ... consistently?

I sure hope that they are coordinating directly between departments in order to hammer out any difficulties with implementation that may have had a habit of arising. Maybe specifcally within this game. Maybe for a decade or so, I don't know.

My head hurts. I'm seriously going to need to go lay down.
they just try to find a new excuse every post. Don't worry, one day they say they they didn't have any backup and lost 6 months worth of update, but it would be a great new because they could in the end redo things better.
They could say anything and it would not matter.

Holy f... I dont get how its even difficult to keep adding a new scene every month. This entire "game" is carried by the art, and even that is getting further and further in between. I mean, I can copy the girls fairly accurately in a simple stable diffusion prompt queue with a few Loras and Im an amateur at SD. We should do like they did with Akaburs Witch Trainer and let someone else keep working on it as Witch Trainer Silver. Im sure some actually motivated people would be able to create something similar (and hopefully better) in a 20th of the time, and for a 10th of the patreon money.

Literally the best shot would be them giving all the assets to someone else willing to complete the game

Would you give away a cow that gives milk without feeding? This game is a scam that has been going on for almost 10 years, it's like Lucky Mark/Amnesia... OMG! I just checked, Amnesia got a Remaster xD

Amusing is how people still believe these "developers" (golden goose breeders) are actually doing something about this project...

...maybe... one step forward and three steps back... I confess, when I'm having a bad day I read this thread a little, smile a bit and move on with my stuff. I should be more appreciative towards them.

Hello, wizards and witches!

April has just begun, but the first ten days are already behind us — and that means it’s time to share what we’ve been working on and how the development of the upcoming "Innocent Witches" patches is progressing.

Let’s start with the art preview (available in the next post). This artwork features Luna Lovegood dancing deep within the Forbidden Forest. It’s nighttime, and beams of moonlight pierce through the treetops, gently illuminating her figure. She’s dressed in a translucent robe that flows freely with every movement, emphasizing her mysterious nature.

The scene feels deeply enigmatic — as if we’ve become witnesses to an ancient ritual or a magical dream. Perhaps this dance is meant for someone’s eyes in particular?
We’ll find out very soon. ✨

Now onto the main news!

Over the past 10 days, we've continued active development on patches 0.12A and 0.12B. During this time, we’ve completed several important tasks and moved forward to new stages that bring us closer to release. Here are the highlights:

First, we ran a full internal test of the first half of patch 0.12A — specifically, Chapter 2 of Act 2. This testing went through several stages.

The first stage was real-time testing with simultaneous bug fixing. This phase begins once the chapter’s coding is complete and helps ensure that it’s playable from start to finish without critical issues.

During the playthrough, we addressed minor flaws and inconsistencies that only become noticeable during actual gameplay — for example, overly long pauses between lines, sudden or delayed art transitions, or even missing artwork due to coding errors. All of this was promptly fixed to ensure smooth and natural scene flow.

In the second stage, core team members streamed the playthrough of the chapter in a private session. Everyone involved gave feedback and notes that were documented for further refinement.

This stage isn’t just about syncing the team — it helps everyone, especially writers and artists, to experience the scenes firsthand and ensure that everything is working and being presented as originally intended.

Based on this internal review, we created a list of small tweaks and polish items. These don’t require heavy reworks but significantly improve the final presentation.

During the third stage, the build was shared with our internal testers and patrons of Cannoneer tier and above. This phase is crucial for collecting a broader range of feedback and catching issues that may have been missed earlier.

With more people playing and testing, the number of discovered issues increases — including bugs, logic inconsistencies, and even presentation feedback related to the text and visuals.

Here is some of the feedback from Patrons who participated in the testing and left their thoughts in Discord:

To summarize, about 95% of all reported issues have already been fixed. The remaining ones will be addressed during the combined testing of Chapters 2 and 3. We’re happy to report that this chapter turned out rich and engaging — and we hope you’ll enjoy the upcoming patch!

Meanwhile, work on the second half of patch 0.12A continues to gain momentum. As of now, two-thirds of the text is fully translated and edited. The remaining one-third is nearing completion and will soon be ready for insertion.

Right now, the team is actively integrating text and art into the code, building gameplay logic, and resolving technical details. Things are moving quickly, and every task brings us one step closer to finishing the patch.

We’ve also been handling tasks from the backlog. For example, Sonya’s interface has become much more responsive — all interactions with her menus and features are now significantly faster and smoother.

And now a quick update on patch 0.12B. Our writers are currently focused on three core content areas that will form the basis of the update.

First, a continuation of the abandoned toilet storyline from 0.12A — this will include several scenes and wrap up with a steamy moment featuring the main girl involved in that event.

Second, we’re expanding the scenes with the House prefects introduced at the end of patch 0.12A. These scenes will gradually evolve, with increasingly bold interactions between the MC and the girls.

Third, we’re adding a short but memorable event involving the elf maid. In her eagerness to serve the Headmaster, she sometimes forgets everything else. This event includes a small mini-game with a multiple-choice mechanic, along with some humorous and spicy interactions.

And one more thing! Some time ago, you voted for “Miss Hogwarts,” and the winner was the enigmatic and charming Luna Lovegood. We haven’t forgotten her — to celebrate her victory, patch 0.12B will include a special event structured similarly to Hermione’s existing one.

This event will reflect Luna’s unique personality — quirky, gentle, and unpredictable. It will culminate in a lovely private moment with her, and the flow of the event will slightly differ depending on whether she’s been selected as your waifu.

That’s all for today, friends! We truly appreciate you staying with us and supporting the development through your donations and feedback. Thank you so much!

We’ll meet again very soon in the next news update. Until then, take care and don’t forget to enjoy life!

Peace to everyone✌

Yours,
Sad Crabs.

And now — time for a poll!
Today we’d love to hear your opinion on cosplay outfits. We’re talking about costumes inspired by iconic female characters from other video games — like Tifa Lockhart, Miranda Lawson, Lara Croft, 2B, and so on.
How would you feel about adding similar outfits for key characters in "Innocent Witches"? For example, Hermione in Lara Croft’s gear, or Luna dressed as 2B?
How important is it for you to maintain consistency and immersion in the HP setting? Would these kinds of costumes feel out of place for you in the magical school atmosphere?
Let us know by voting or leaving a comment below!
1. I’d love to see the main characters wearing outfits from other games!

2. I don’t mind it, but it’s not a big deal for me either way.

3. I’d prefer you didn’t do this — it would break the immersion and atmosphere.

4. I just want to see the poll results.
