Hello, witches and wizards! ✨
The second ten days of November are behind us, and it’s time to share a fresh development update. The team continues pushing patch 0.12B forward, preparing the New Year release, and making progress on 0.13A.
As always, we start with an art preview (available in the next post).
This time it features Luna wearing a playful bunny outfit. Soft fur trim and playful ears create a warm and slightly mischievous look. It seems Luna decided to bring her own kind of magic, as always - and she looks absolutely adorable while doing it.
And now to the main news!
Over the past ten days, we continued work on the upcoming patch 0.12B. The release is getting closer, and at this stage the main focus is inserting all prepared content into the code, testing how it functions within the game’s logic, and fixing small inconsistencies as they appear.
Here is the current status of patch 0.12B:
The first part includes interactive events, a puzzle, and several riddles, all flavored with humor.
The second part unlocks access to nighttime versions of certain locations, such as Classroom 609, the Corridors, the Potions Classroom, and the Library. Some locations contain hidden secrets for attentive players to discover
In the upcoming patch, this event will be available in all chapters starting from Chapter 4 of Act 1. In the next major update, however, this quest will be removed from later chapters and become part of the main storyline in Chapter 4 or 5 of Act 1.
This change will let us freely plan future nighttime events, knowing that story-wise the player has already completed the quest. It removes the need to complicate the narrative with extra branches for cases where the player hasn’t done the quest yet, if it remained optional.
The second significant addition from the past sprint was the integration and testing of Live2D animations for two scenes that will be part of the Abandoned Toilet continuation quest.
The first scene expands the existing bathroom encounter with three new interactions with students.
The second scene is a refreshed and reintegrated version of a scene from the old plot featuring the organizer of the activities in the toilet. This scene will be repeatable, allowing players to choose different outcomes and select the character’s outfit - similar to the scene with Ginny.
We also added several technical and QoL improvements. For example, the changelog will no longer load the full list of changes from all past versions every time you open it. Instead, it will show only the updates relevant to the current major version, with a button at the end to display the older entries. This removes the slight lag when opening the changelog and makes navigation easier.
In the next ten days, active work will continue on inserting the remaining parts of the toilet events expansion quest. Some of this content was inserted some time ago, after which adjustments to the animations were sent to the animator. While those were being handled, progress shifted to other parts of the patch. Now the insertion will resume.
Finally, a small update about the New Year patch. As mentioned earlier, we assigned a dedicated person to insert its core elements - art and basic logic - in parallel with 0.12B development. This task is now complete, and all art for the New Year update has already been inserted. The remaining steps will be integrating text and art into the code and testing all new content as a whole.

Many of these artifacts are extremely powerful, which is why even in the original books they appear only briefly - otherwise they could break the story. When using them in our game, we must ensure they don’t trivialize challenges or solve every problem instantly. For example, with the Invisibility Cloak without the proper restraints, the hero could accomplish far too much simply by moving unseen around the castle.
However, with careful planning, magical artifacts can fit beautifully into the narrative.
Therefore, we’d like to know which of the following items you would most like to see in Innocent Witches:
