I think the game is bugged. I cant get the ravenclaw chick to talk to me. I have her nude photo but zero way to give it to her as instructed. What am i missing?
You give the nude photos to Hagrid.

We can't keep it up, we tried and got a 2 frame scene. Also, this release was never supposed to be a sex scene.

It's going to be a 1 sex scene per A and B release.
you should hire another artist or programmer then you're making enough right now

Right Numenorius. Let's say this particular piece of software is in development for 2 years and you're a $20 patron. So far you paid $240 for a game that has more bugs than events, tons of grind, some nudity and 2 18+ only scenes. You paid the equivalent of AT LEAST 3 AAA games on launch day for a game that gives you a small fraction of the game time you have in any of those AAA games. Let alone replayability, secrets, etc. But this game is in development since the times the true innocent whiches game came out (ask Akabur) and this team started with a mod to that game and it worked well until they decided to start their own game. A completely different game set in the exact same universe, with the exact same characters and with pretty much the same stuff. Akabur got it finished and released in record time. These guys are still clowning around. I am not "entitlement" as I maybe download this game once every 4-6 months, maybe, only to find out there is another 16+ scene released. Not cool, bro! No matter how you look at it
I understand your frustration if you view it from that point. I however view Patron more like: I will support you for a while and then another game will get some of my money, or support them on the 1 dollar level. That way, it is not a huge investment on my part. You just have to set your own limit how much money in total you want to spend.
And if they take their time and deliver a master piece in 5 years, I think we will be well pleased by that time. Maybe not now, but good things can come to those who wait.

When that happens I will become a patron for a month for a $20, maybe even higher tier, get the full game for a decent price (like all my other games) and enjoy.

A few posts back the dev got butthurt I got the money issue into discussion. Proper developers always invest money and time in games but they also bank on the final product paying for those expenses and then some. These guys seem to want us to pay for the whole thing.

No one can say for sure when the final complete product will be released in this instance. I play a lot of indie games on <vaporised water> (don't know whether we can advertise other sites or not, sue me) and usually, they release alfa or beta versions of their games but you only pay ONCE. Patreon (I know I saw this one many times in this forum) and others like it got corrupted and a lot of people (devs and patrons alike) think this is the way it's supposed to work. I agree to some extent but I see others that work much harder and get much more content out for their patrons (not always that many) than a lot of the "developers" trying their hand at an 18+ only game.

I tried and succeeded in making a game myself. It was just a short project mostly to see how hart it actually is. Using an engine like renpy is ridiculously simple and the only time-consuming thing for me was the art (used daz). I have no idea how long it takes this team's illustrator to come with new images but I know there are a lot of assets being reused. I wish we had more of an idea of what's going on behind the scenes, like other devs started doing, e.g.: action trackers, a full plan including completion date (without too many spoilers where possible). It would be easier for some to see exactly how long this (but not only this) game will take, where it will go, and then decide what tier patron/supporter they want to be or if it's worth it.

Getting an error when luna is coming back from her expulsion. looks as if it is having problems loading correct dialogues. Crashes the game everytime.
Save file included.

I can promise, I have paid more into the development of this game than anyone here. You guys sure love to bring up money a lot.
You're supposed to. You're the one that embarked on this voyage, you should've known costs, time frames, and all the logistics before taking your first steps. If you can't cover for these expenses with a finished product, your calculations were not correct.

The is a bug with Snape ! When you miss the meet with him you can not call him again , since the game constantly writes , that writing to him again does not make sense!

Is the artist not being paid enough for him to dedicate enough time to this project to not deliver the bare minimum? Even 1 scene a month is borderline scammy for 12k a month, much less whatever "every A, B release" means. Like is all the time going towards BG's or something, and if so why not hire another artist to work on that? On one hand you have a overzealous writer, and on the other hand an artist that is slow. What a combo, I feel bad for Joe.

Game quits back to main menu after the Act 2 chapter 1 scene where the ghost visits you in your bed.
I have this same problem. I played from JoeBanks's save few pages back.

I attach save just before using diadem.

I agree, generally. Patreon model has it's downsides, for sure. However, see my point below.
Well, it depends. Simple and straight-designed games are easy to develop, especially if you have the right skills. However, here we have a quite complicated project, a fucking mess even, I would say. I don't know the whole story behind early stages but that was sure as hell not a great start, judging by the early acts of the game itself.

You see, it's easier to work alone than even as a small team like this in terms of decision-making, overall design, that sort of things. And they've tried to shove in this game so much stuff that it became too complicated for them to properly sort the shit out and to prioritize. They have the main quest, side quests, puzzles, skill system, time management system, UI girl, enormous amount of items and so on. And even at this point, they're incapable of cutting things out in order to focus on the most important stuff. Futhermore, they've continued to change the game and expand, just look at the latest change log. And they did spread story to two branches recently on top of all that.

Some people might say they're doing that in order to intentionally slow development process down, to "milk" patrons for ages. I disagree and would say the reason lies in: lack of experience, lack of a strong team leader, lack of skills, in a nutshell - incompetence. Despite the bugs and everything I would say their coder is competent enough though for an amateur team. Their artist seems to work on his own terms and it's fine as long as he receives clear and persistent work tasks but I guess it's not the case with these guys. But all that's fine, as long as we look at their patreon as a tool to encourage some people's hobby and even to get something (erotic art/funfiction/puzzles etc) in return (and in our case - for free, although it shouldn't stop us from critisize things). Instead of pretending like it's some kind of serious business and their patrons - a bunch of fooled shareholders. No, from what I've heared, they're mostly happy so I guess they're belong to the first category.
So breaking the saves is confirmed on purpose? Greedy cunts
Nah, I wouldn't go that far. Given amount of bugs every fresh version I think it's a simple malfunction. Besides, they didn't give away saves for everyone before, that was patrons only deal.

I have a hard time believing that saves are caused by a malfunction. After so many versions and chapters and stuff, that malfunction should've been in the past. Instead, this malfunction lingers. If it were a malfunction at the beginning, I feel the devs, competent or not, treat this as a feature.

Renpy is easy to work with especially when you have a decent idea of what you're doing and some idea of the main stages of the project + timeframes. Any engine has limitations and a half-decent developer should be aware of these before starting the project. Shoving more or less planned stuff in just to buy more time until the artist or some other member of the dev team gets his/her act together and actually delivers is a sure way to push the limits of any game engine and with poor planning... well we saw massive AAA games that got the same treatment and people lost jobs (ME:Andromeda comes to mind as an example but there are more like it out there).

It's a shame really! This is one of the few games currently developed that actually has great potential. I just wish I would live long enough to see it completed and bug free.
