While I am fairly hard on the game, as it was one I was interested in actually joining the patreon for before it took part in convincing me to just dismiss patreon outright, I would just like to say that you are not a liar. I've worked in professional game development and an unfortunate fact of the matter is that every game to ever exist fell behind at some point. You're not a liar, you just over promised. Congratulations, you're a game developer, 100% of the people who work in the industry over promise and under deliver at some point. Just try your best to stick the landing.

When will we have compatible saves between versions? Are you guys working on that or is it still gonna take awhile? I'm not trying to complain or anything, i just wanted to know what is the plan for that since it's not usually mentioned on the info you guys post.

I chose Hermione as my victim, and now the game asks me to talk to her about the diadem... which I can't do since I can't summon her anymore.
Also, I need to talk to snape about the suspension... Which, again, I can't for some reason (there is no dialogue related to this with him, either day or night summons.)

Probably a bug, they were almost all fixed on 0.6-pre-alpha (the animation release)Not sure if I found a bug or if I'm missing something in the dark path

I just found out about this game few weeks ago and I'm having quite a lot of fun with it honestly. I have finished everything it has to offer for now and while it has a god awful dialogue especially in the earlier part, RNG when summoning people (save scumming is necessary in order to be efficient), and little to no smut part for the girls, I kinda enjoyed the whole experience.
Though significant part of my enjoyment came from the godly art and Daphne. The core gameplay is actually quite okay as well aside from the RNG. I hope the June build will be great and added a good amount of content.

You can skip to the chapter via menu, so no, it won't change from that perspective. I have wanted something that reads your old save and starts your game where you left off but that task has sat on the back burner for a while.
