If you want to play the old plot just downlaod 7.3B for free on their website. It has the old plot withouts game breaking bugs but is missing the new plot, that was added in 8.0. But afaik you can play through the new plot in 8.0 without gamebreaking bugs

As I learned on discord, new plot is written by new artist, and the current old plot will be fully integrated(at least the scenes will be) into the new one within next 6 months.

It's just a new Storyline with the same Characters and Locations, but has far less content right now. The developers said, they wanted a less convoluted story...

yeah H content is still weak compared to many..many.. games. but gameplay itself is great - shame. can never get the best of both.

I've made a photoshop file with sorted layers and folders for easy edits. I Think photoshop CS6+ is required. (Apparently not, works with GIMP)
