Hehehe I only thought it was an art choice, had no idea what was the graphic engine at the time. It wasn't more cartoonish style than Honey Select games that I already enjoy so gave it a try also.

Those 2cgd and a few that are even 3cgd that seems more that are very manga/anime art style I avoid, I don't mind on movies (have no patience nor time for tv shows in the genre) in the style because movies usually are very dynamic but in VNs (specially adult ones) is off putting for me since it is harder (and development time consuming) to make them very very dynamic as a movie. Only made an exception on a game that starts with S and ends in human haha due to many recommendations.
I was also put off with the art style on the other one you mentioned until I fired it up and got hooked instantly.

If there is a time jump, it’ll be a short one — just a few months at most. You might see some pregnant women, but definitely not the kids themselves.
As far as I know, VAM doesn’t allow for creating child characters — only teens.
So if I ever make a sequel, I’ll most likely go with the idea that Jade’s daughter becomes the new main character, and definetely not in VAM.
(And honestly I already have a pretty solid idea of who she’ll be.)
One of the fun parts about Dog Days of Summer is that the MC is the daughter of the stereotypical male MC that for some magical reason attracts his female family members. So the futa version of this idea could indeed be fun.

Once you've finished your Undawn project, obviously

I'd go a step further and say none of the imaging programs really make great children, and it's probably for the best. All of them have some uncanny valley stuff going on. They either have small bodies, with huge heads that look older, or look like weird dolls.

Tbh, when I first started looking at this, the art was offputting. I didn't know much about VAM at the time and though it was some kind of Sims mod. :ROFLMAO:

I stuck with it though and I'm glad I did because this has turned out to be a gem.
Yeah, same. I honestly didn't play this for the longest time, everytime I saw this game, I was like What??? Absolutely not, which was dumb of me, cause its actually so great and amazing.

I feel like there are many games that sometimes I don't play for one reason or another, then end up enjoying them, when I do play them.

So I am glad I actually played this amazing game, and can't wait to see its conclusion and KindNightmares next game too.

Her name will be Ziri and she will be the "daughter" of Dr. Yennefer and biker Geralt?
Although personally, when i saw such a reference in the game, i was quite annoyed, since Geralt is cool and definitely does not deserve how he was treated.

P.S. And in general, I must note that the main character behaves extremely vilely, although I am not a maralophage at all, but in the game almost all the male characters are presented as complete scum (with the exception of the dead - Dmitry and Carlos), although the mc acts many times more immorally than all of them, in general, a rather dubious and hypocritical position. :cautious:

I like my futa MCs evil.

I suspect the word they're looking for is misandrist, as in a hater of men. But it's probably better to wait for them to explain what they meant.

EDIT: Phage means to eat, so it really is whatever a "maralo" is
It is most likely a misspell of misandry, as he/she was talking about gender related stuff in the narrative, and his/her post read very ESLish (and who I'm to complain? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).
Other alternatives like mallophage or mélophage are unlikely as they are related to parasites.

I assume you meant "moralfag" — and that’s fine. But the thing is, Jade has never been portrayed as some shining-armored hero. I’ve said multiple times that she often acts like a jerk — it’s what she’s used to, and it’s part of her character. So yes, sometimes she behaves like a villain, even toward people close to her.

As for the "bad male characters" — that was never my intention. The game has its own lore, and it takes place in a world with a deeply patriarchal system. After a near-total genocide of the male population, laws were rewritten, and harems were legalized. Many men in this society act the way they do because they were raised in a culture that treats women as trade goods or property — much like some real-world cultures still do. You could even say it’s not entirely their fault.

Take Adam, for example — Jade’s brother and a fan favorite. Is he a piece of shit? Yes. Does he believe his sister is living the wrong way? Absolutely. But in his own way, he still loves her. He was simply raised to believe that women must be with men — period. Is that his fault? That’s for each player to decide. Jade decided it was.

And let’s be real — there are plenty of "bad women" in this world too, but somehow everyone still wants to fuck them. :HideThePain:

It's probably better to use the word "moralist" (English is not my native language ;)). What I wanted to say is that I don't think the MC should be a knight in shining armor, but some of Jade's actions are clearly worse than many of the so-called "evil characters" around her. As I said, I don't mind the MC being an antihero (all's fair in love as in war) , but then there's no need for all this hypocrisy that should supposedly justify her. Of course, can make appropriate choices and avoid such unpleasant moments, but then we will miss most of the content.

I see that my accidental mistake has given rise to a whole small discussion :), and here are given options that I had not even remotely in mind and did not even suspect that such words exist at all .

Thank you very much for your reply. It's very nice that you are supporting the discussion. :)

I understood your idea and the lore of the game, it's just that the background itself, people's problems and social relations are very reminiscent of our modern world, it seems that the corresponding words are spoken, but at least I did not experience full immersion in the game world. But okay, it's not essential.

I'll express another thought that came to mind while I was playing the game. The main character reminds me very much of Dominic Torreto and the Fast and the Furious movies (only with hair and boobs ;)) - too much pathos, too much seriousness, MC is too cool and because of all this it is difficult to empathize with Jade, since it is immediately clear that she will easily defeat all the pathetic idiots around her and gather a harem of chicks. If you are going to make a sequel to the game, then perhaps you should make the new heroine more human, add a little humor, let her sometimes get into stupid situations, let her occasionally show weaknesses, let her face trials that she will have to overcome in order to actually prove her dominance. In general, such little things, it seems to me, should give some verisimilitude to the image and evoke sympathy and complicity with what is happening.

In general, what you’re saying pretty much comes down to calling Jade a "Mary Sue" — which, to be honest, I’ve already been accused of a few times.
But the reality is, Jade does face problems. She fails. Her life isn’t nearly as perfect as it might seem — it’s just that unless she’s beaten half to death like in some Hollywood drama, or raped and then has to “rise from the ashes,” it’s easy to assume everything comes too easily for her. That’s just perspective.

Also, I’d say this: if you find it hard to empathize with her because things come off as "too easy," others often find it equally hard to care about characters who constantly lose or suffer.
Something to think about. :WeSmart:

By the way, yes, such a comparison probably has the right to be. It's just that for some reason another character came to mind. :)

The idea here is not to make MC a loser, but simply to show him as a little more "down to earth". I partially understand what this is connected with: you show Jade as an already established, strong personality, and the character's revelation occurs in flashbacks. Such an artistic device has every right to exist, but at the same time it can have obvious disadvantages for the narrative.

But in any case, I'm looking forward to the continuation of the game and hope that your next project will be even better! :)

To be honest, I don’t see any disadvantages here — not from my perspective, at least. Like I’ve said before, it really comes down to personal taste.
Not everyone wants to see a classic rise-to-power arc — some people (myself included) are more drawn to stories about already-formed, powerful characters. That’s always been more compelling to me.

In Jade’s case, her strength isn’t portrayed as something flawless. She still makes mistakes — and she faces the consequences.
It’s just that, as a strong and experienced person, those consequences don’t always shake her the same way they might shake someone else.

That’s not to say her journey is less valid — just different.

Simply put, it is.

Growing protagonist
Very powerful and mature protagonist
Their stories are all very fascinating, and I really like them all.

Author Kind Nightmares: The plot narrative is really well done (unique narrative style), which I quite like (y):coffee:

PS: Actually, what makes every developer feel difficult is whether they can fully express their story plot to players who can understand it. After all, everyone's feelings, preferences, and experiences are different. it really comes down to personal taste.:BootyTime:
