Chapter 12 Release Dates.

1750063879027.png

Changelog:
2081 renders
~13100 words
8 sex scenes (4 threesomes and 1 full orgy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) , also scenes with Andy, Stella and sesbian lex between Viv and Bella)
116 animations.

I’ve also been asked many times to make a walkthrough — and I finally did it.
You’ll find the PDF file in the root folder of the game.
For now, the walkthrough is exclusive to Gold and Silver supporters.

Hi Kind Nightmares,

I played the newest Chapter 12 last night, and I think you did a really good job!

If you don't mind, I'd like to share one or two points of criticism:

  • I feel like the story is developing a bit too quickly compared to the previous chapters. Specifically, the storyline around the twins' birthday and the events that follow feels a bit rushed and straightforward. The relationships between the characters during that part of the story develop so abruptly that I found myself wondering why they suddenly have now such strong connections to each other.
  • The next point is about the scenes themselves. I feel that the quality of the scenes suffers a bit due to the quantity in this chapter. I noticed low frame rates and some incorrect positioning in a few scenes. I also think having a few more options—especially for the happy endings—would enhance the overall experience. (But I believe I read a post where you mentioned having some personal struggles recently, which of course could have affected the development;))

That being said, I still think you did a very good job overall. I'm really interested to see where the story goes from here and how the cliffhanger will be resolved.

I love your work, and I hope the next chapter isn't too far away.

kind regards from Germany!

Hi! Thanks a lot for the thoughtful feedback — I really appreciate the time you took to write this out.

You’re absolutely right that the pacing picks up in Chapter 12. The story is approaching its endgame, and a lot of characters are acting under Jade’s influence — that’s why some of their behavior shifts. It’s part of the design, though I understand how it might feel more abrupt compared to earlier chapters.

As for the scene quality — fair point again. The big scene was especially demanding (too many characters in one room:HideThePain: ), and even though my hardware isn't bad, it just couldn't handle it smoothly. That setup really pushed things to the limit.

Thanks again for the kind words and honest thoughts — it genuinely means a lot.
Greetings back to Germany from a very grateful dev!

I have a couple of questions: how many chapters of the game are you planning to release and what is the time frame for the game's completion? And are you planning to add animations to all scenes in the early chapters and maybe improve some other aspects, so to speak, to make a "technical update" of the game?

Honestly, I’ve answered all of these questions multiple times already.
I don’t know — maybe two more chapters, maybe three, maybe more.
The thing is, I’ve already gone beyond the number I originally planned, and right now I just want to finish everything in a way that feels natural and makes sense.
I don’t want the ending to feel rushed — but I also don’t want to drag it out.

No, I won’t be going back to the earlier chapters. Once the final chapter of Instinct Unleashed is out, that’ll be the end of the story — and the end of my work on it.
I think those early awful renders and 'animations' should stay as a reminder of where I started and how far I’ve come. (Also, I’m lazy as fuck. :HideThePain: )

Will there be a time skip for the "fruit" of Jade's hard work? If there aren't so many chapters, at least it has to end on a high note. Seeing Jade's daughters or sons, something like in FE we see what the characters' children are like.

If there is a time jump, it’ll be a short one — just a few months at most. You might see some pregnant women, but definitely not the kids themselves.
As far as I know, VAM doesn’t allow for creating child characters — only teens.
So if I ever make a sequel, I’ll most likely go with the idea that Jade’s daughter becomes the new main character, and definetely not in VAM.
(And honestly I already have a pretty solid idea of who she’ll be.)

I'm probably not alone in saying I wouldn't really consider them awful honestly. They were charming in their own way even if the renders and such got better over time. Though i'm speaking from a non-artist point of view I guess. Even so keep up the great work!

Tbh, when I first started looking at this, the art was offputting. I didn't know much about VAM at the time and though it was some kind of Sims mod. :ROFLMAO:

I stuck with it though and I'm glad I did because this has turned out to be a gem.
Hehehe I only thought it was an art choice, had no idea what was the graphic engine at the time. It wasn't more cartoonish style than Honey Select games that I already enjoy so gave it a try also.

Those 2cgd and a few that are even 3cgd that seems more that are cartoonish or very manga/anime art style I avoid, I don't mind on movies (have no patience nor time for tv shows in the genre) in the style because movies usually are very dynamic but in VNs (specially adult ones) is off putting for me since it is harder (and development time consuming) to make them very very dynamic as a movie. Only made an exception on a game that starts with S and ends in human haha due to many recommendations.

I was also put off with the art style on the other one you mentioned until I fired it up and got hooked instantly.

One of the fun parts about Dog Days of Summer is that the MC is the daughter of the stereotypical male MC that for some magical reason attracts his female family members. So the futa version of this idea could indeed be fun.

Once you've finished your Undawn project, obviously

I'd go a step further and say none of the imaging programs really make great children, and it's probably for the best. All of them have some uncanny valley stuff going on. They either have small bodies, with huge heads that look older, or look like weird dolls.
