I talk about this in my review but the reason she seems like so is because the Jade in the story is already grown up and mature, she already went through all sorts of painful experiences during her teenage/childhood years. The story happens post-character growth so you only gets a few glimpses into it via flashbacks. I'm sure things will eventually get tougher for current Jade at some point, it's just not gonna happen right now.

I read it, and it said it had this content, and the information that said content was optional was hidden information i didn't care to dig for cuz it didn't really deserve that level of attention from me.

How do you find info about a novel before you read it?
The Dev Notes has descriptions about what you can expect and/or FAQs, the Genre section lists the tags (often including planned and ones that won't be included), the Changelog estimates the amount of content you can expect, and then of course the initial summary.

Especially with titles that include a line in the summary that states "For more info read the dev notes" it should be self-explanatory.
Short version, I'd recommend always going through all the info in the original post before downloading a VN; helps avoid unexpected or potentially unwanted content.

Public Post. Chapter 8.
Hey everyone, it's time for another public post!

As you all must have noticed by now, the new chapter took longer to come out this time and it's still not ready. The thing is, I need to look for a new apartment, so my landlord is selling mine. Most of all time is spent looking for a place to live and I pay less attention to the game.

But still, I keep working no matter what, because I enjoy it. And I want to say thank you all so much for all the support you give me.

Now, about the chapter. I hope and expect it to be very hot, both in terms of plot and sex scenes. Also, Jade will react a little differently to what's going on around her, depending on the decisions you've made before (I hope you were sure of them). Also expect more family bonding.

I let myself play around with Depth of Field in one of the scenes, and it's basically how I imagine the game will be when I'm able to buy myself a new PC. Feel free to comment if you like it or not.

Last night finished ch7, such a great game, a must play if you like a futa protagonist, i honestly don't see how MC would be a mary sue but that's just my opinion, could be wrong tho, looking forward to ch8

Lmao so I've just finished reading through the 7th chapter and I gotta say this female lead is written better than a lot of multi-million dollar female leads from hollywood, made me laugh and cry at how good this vn is and how bad the movie industry is nowadays

To be fair, the movie industry has been shit forever basically. There are some good female leads in literature and even other VN's but this dev somehow just hit it out of the park in a spectacular way.
Not only that but MC is also a fantastic example of how to write a dominant character without going into idiotic trope territory like everyone else seemingly does.
