I don't think apologizing to Ashley would be enough after betraying her. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is the end of her path after all. I know it's a harem game and all, but it would be an interesting twist if the dev made that going after one pussy would completely ruin a relationship with another.

Who said that they don't like the update? I feel like the reception has been mostly positive, the only negative reactions was to the conclusion of the prior cliffhanger. Which I would agree was a rather poor conclusion. But it doesn't change that the update in general was very good.

But seriously, I liked the update, I won't say it's better, but it was worth it. As for Maddison's scene:

I felt a trap, I somehow suspected that there was something unclean here, even the facial expressions Jade hinted to us after the choice "Don't stick your dick in a crazy woman!" and I was right, so I refused her, I'm sure it will be more interesting further

Well there was a mention of a female fertility drug for futas. And given that futas in this universe don't have female sex organs, maybe that thing could also make sam a full girl? I would be for it.

That was a positive surprise so far. Quite like the protagonist; can be domme without the usual "internet edgelord" personality. Sometimes it's a bit too direct for me - the better story arcs are imo the ones that take a bit of time. Though admittedly it does help keeping the pace up, and that in turns keeps things varied and interesting.

... I also kinda like the visuals (is it virt-a-mate?), in a way. DAZ tends to look so plastic-artificial, which is fine if it's a deliberate style you're going for, but when it's just the same generic thing all the time it starts feeling a bit meh. Some scenes do have somewhat annoying hair clipping or something though; not usually the sorta thing I'd expect myself to notice but when it keeps blinking in and out of existence during dialogue that is a bit much ^^#

Writing is unfortunately quite clunky. Obviously that's not going to change 8 chapters into the story, and it's not like it's intolerable. But for me probably the main area that could be improved, hypothetically.

Not sure I care too much about the main plot, but I do look forward to seeing more of the characters and what they get up to

What I really hope though is that the dev keeps all the resources on developing the story further and not starting to rework the older chapters.

It is amazing what he is pumping out and I very much appreciate improvements for the following chapters. But I really think new content should be the Focus.

Very much looking forward for ch. 9. This is a great story and I also very much like the ocasional cameos of Actual Roommates (another great VN with a very hard workind dev btw).

I could be wrong but I think Kind Nightmares is ESL and their first language is Russian. And if they are then the slightly clunky is very forgivable, their writing is better than a lot of people who’s first language is English.
