Jade came out of that relatively unscathed because the goal was to intimidate her into backing off. Whoever hired the thugs to kidnap her would have been rather displeased if they took liberties. It would have resulted in either a more pissed off Jade, or in an extreme circumstance, a dead Jade, which is clearly not intended.

The situation you're describing sounds like something that would happen on the Sopranos. Goons get orders, fuck them up by going too far, and then face consequences for their actions.

Hopefully lots more, its a great story and character and feels like so far we are barely getting to into the deep stuff. Lot of potential for a long indepth story from where it stands as is.

For what I can see with URM, to trigger that scene you need a variable named "ch5belladate" so it seems very self-explanatory, you need to be on a date with Isabella in chapter 5.

I just loaded a save in chapter 5 to check and at this point on the screenshots below in the spoiler box, if Bella affection/points or whatever is called is 1 or higher you get another point with her and the variable for the date. So I guess sanmal probably had Isabella points at 0 I guess? Dunno if any other condition won't make this scene appear also.
