Is there anyone who thinks Zach deserves any kind of redemption? Sometimes in avns there are buddy characters which are annoying yet fun but even without counting the betrayal, Zach is simply just annoying and shitty all the time without any redeming qualitys at all.

Everything about him sucks, "his humour", his behavior, his looks just everything, he didnt made me chuckle a single time. Given the possibility i would have told him to fuck off the first time the mc meets him.
The only redeeming qualty is if Alexis finds out he sucker punched MC then, he looses both "hunting grounds" school and bar Not to mention hi-jinx with her boss. Maybe the good puppy dragging him away by his crotch like the dog Jerry Lee did to the headrest in the movie K9

In light of the release of Episode 12, I undertook the task of constructing a comprehensive table that delineates the development progression of the game. My hope was that this endeavor would provide you with valuable insights into the game’s growth and maturation.

It is pertinent to observe that the incorporation of Nyx’s animations, which consist of discrete JPG files amalgamated during runtime, contributes to the cumulative render count.

Regrettably, Episode 12 stands out for its meager output in terms of content generated during the specified timeframe. In fact, it boasts the lowest number of renders produced (per week), significantly trailing behind previous episodes. This stark reality may raise concerns for financial backers, as it signals a potential troubles in production.

Nyx has attributed the decline in efficiency, in part, to her involvement in composing original music for ‘Intertwined’.

I trust that you have derived value from this discourse. May the remainder of your day be splendid!
I extend my gratitude to mpa71 for inspiring this initiative.

*The unavailability of historical files render it impossible to segregate animation counts from render counts.
*R/Week - Renders per week
*5.5, 10.5 - I combined updates 5 and 5.5, and update 10 and 10.5. This was only to highlight the "Major Updates.". I found it tough to distinguish the render count for 5 and 5.5 separately, so I just combined them and carried that mentality over to update 10.
*Update 10.5 had 687 Renders and took 63 Days
*Update 10 had 2889 and took 187 Days.

It is worth noting that the inclusion of Nyx’s animations, although not true animations, contributes to the overall render count.

Thank you very much for your interesting statistics. According to Dev, he wanted to compose or add his own background music, which didn't quite work out. Based on your table (referring to EP 8, EP 10.5 or EP 11) and what the dev reported that Episode 13 is a big update, I expect the next update in October/November this year. If the negative trend continues here, the release of the update will be postponed by a factor of X.

Intertwined is one of my favorite games, but Nyx has repeatedly proven that she's not exactly the most tech savvy dev. While I think it's great for her that she tried some new creative endeavor, I'm not surprised that it didn't pan out as expected.

This was already known and described by the developer herself. The reasons were also stated.
This update took me a little longer than I initially wanted but there are several reasons for it. Of course the few hiccups I mentioned in previous progress updates but mainly because I'm working on another project. I say another project, but it's still Intertwined related.
I'm actually working on creating my own music for Intertwined. Writing songs, recording, the whole shebang. And it takes a lot of time. Much more than I anticipated at first.
I still want to work on the music but it just takes too much time away from working on the game itself. So for now and the next updates, I'll focus again more on the game and leave the music for when the game is close to being finished.
Considering that the lack of music is one of the biggest points of criticism that is repeatedly leveled at the developer, it is understandable that she has started to take care of music. That takes time. Plus the holidays and vacation time, which she has also communicated transparently in previous progress updates. I don't see it all that dramatically.

This is something that should be done for all majors VN out there on Patreon. It would be a good metric to judge progression and commitment, especially for donors. It would also put some pressure on devs without being excessively invasive.

Intertwined's always been a free-time thing. Nyx plays it safe and doesn't stick to strictly framed development. When it's ready is what you get when questioned. So all those calculations don't work as a judgement I reckon. Take it (and pay) or leave it.

While I acknowledge that the music aspect has been attributed to a "little longer", as Nyx phrased it, I find it challenging to equate this with a 52% decline.
Well, she wasn't working on her project for a month (holidays, vacations, etc.) and, as she stated, she didn't just searched for music. She mades it herself, including the part as singer. That's a lot more time to do as just searching in content libraries and buying licenses. But I understand you. Don't get me wrong here.

I wished this update has a lot more content, too. Especially the story. The cliffhanger is pure evil. But I also say every now and then: give devs only so much money you think the current work is worth it for you. There're a lot of people who just pledge for a month when an update comes out. Others buys only every second, third or fourth update with a pledge and steal the others on piracy platforms. I for myself think Nyx' work is worth my money, but I'm only Tremonia, not everyone else.

I'm sure it almost always starts as a free time thing. The problem is that nowadays most people on Patreon asks at least 5€/$ a month at minimum for 1/2 updates a year. Put in perspective, that's the cost of two commercial games per year per sub.

I believe that if more people would ask only for "a coffee a month" (1 - 1,5€$) the number of subscribers would be much higher and the complaining much lower. As for me, there're about a dozen VNs I follow, but currently I subbed only to 5. Sometimes I suspend a subscription if the author takes too long between updates, sometimes I give a "one time" heftier donation when a new chapter is out because I feel bad not paying for other people's work, but it gets tiring to micromanage all this Patreon stuff.
