nope you will get burned. You might be able to play the field a little bit if making the right choices but will eventually get dumped. Like with Erynn and Alexis if you decide to go with Layla to train you can avoid getting dumped for how long who knows.
Suppousedly someone relating to the MC what happened is still a possibility rather than simply a scene where we aren't involved.
Erynn has another fashion event coming up, and when asked if we should accompany her to it she said "it's gonna be fine" which gave me... a famous last words vibe.
I'm having to redo my saves and playing through i noticed this.
After the Ethan fight, you and Valeria sneak to this alley(suppousedly nearby)...
And later Rachel is found here.
The angle is different, one is inside looking out, the other is outside looking in... details don't quite match(one has more plants the other more graffiti) but the dumpster is the same.
Does this tell us something about Ethan being involved in Rachel's murder? Probably not, but...
Nah, assets get reused and are often too difficult to modify. It would be great if they were released with multiple skins or graffiti on/off. But most PAs don't put that much work into them.

Yeah I am struggling with working out how far I can push the different paths. I want to explore them but not jeopardize the primary relationship I want at the same time.
Nothing comes of it in the game so I assumed that as well.

Not gonna lie same here but after I read the next update is gonna be a story update and potentially have a scene where it doesn't involve the MC actually fucken scares me for her saftey. As well as the phone call she got at the end of her path gave me a bad feeling. It was enough I would 1/2 consider skipping the next update to wait for the one after as if it something does happen would suck to leave it at a cliffhanger as I think about this game too much at times and probably me on my mind alot but nah I love this game to much.
The phone call gave me the impression it was about her investigation on her dad.
She was talking to a person she doesn't know intimately/personally but the call didn't surprise her.
And she needed to send something back that she already had in her laptop.
She could've just asked me, i can tell her who her dad is lol.
Even with that i can't shake the uneasiness on that, "do you want me to come with? Nah i'll be fine", too many times this was used to setup something bad happening...
And as you say leaving a cliffhanger would be worst thing possible.
It felt bad when the main suspect for dumpster girl was Erynn.

So who killed Rachel ?
I don't think it's related to Ethan's gang because so far there's no obvious link between Rachel and the modelling/escorting prostitution rings that Ethan is running.
Especially as Rachel is wrote as a slut that will just fuck everything that moves without a need to get money out of it (and so without needing to enter Ethan's circles).
I think the murder may be more related to Brooke, the woman that always creepily lust over the MC mother, especially as there was absolutely no reason that during one of her dialogues, Brooke would "joke" to the MC about Rachel and the dumpster before the corpse discovery if she had nothing to do with it, if it was only a red herring, it would be a bit too ridiculously cartoony

But even if she is involved that does not mean she is the murderer, she could be part of something else or paid someone to do it as we know nothing about her after all or what she has to do with Rachel (did she saw Rachel as a threat, or did she wanted to make her pay for wasting the MC mother time or putting more difficulty to the mother restaurant budget with the firing of many of the workers ?).
And as said Rachel is wrote as a complete slut that will fuck everything, so it could be just a bad random encounter that comes with the lifestyle, not necessarly related to anything that is currently going on, as murderers and other similar piece of shits do not require to be already part of the plot to exist, that could be a character that hasn't yet be introduced in the MC story.
I wonder if the restaurant scene of the next update in which the MC isn't present is related to Brooke shenanigans, or if it is for a date between John and the MC mother (as you can get the MC to accept his mother dating John), i also wonder when the reveal about Erynn beings John's daughter will happen. Probably shortly before the corpse of Ethan is discovered in a garbage dump near some motorcycle tracks

And like i said before in this thread, the guy has a huge obsession with Erynn... and when you can't get Erynn who would pass for a nice substitute? A girl who is blonde, tall and slender like Rachel.
He's also the type of guy who has access to back entrances of clubs, due to connections, money and his job.
When Erynn wasn't doing her job well, he took her into an alley to scold her.
And even sluts sometimes have standards, Rachel is a slut but she might not want to have sex in a dirty alley.
I think the Brooke thing is a red-herring, just to tease people.
In real life the most likely thing would be some random person we don't know killed Rachel, but this is a game, a game that tends to "intertwine" things, the investigation of the murder is being teased... so i expect it to be someone we know.

If not Ethan my second guess would be Layla's ex forget his named ( the one that sucker punched the MC) from the limited amount of time we see him he seems more unstable than Ethan. I got nothing to back it up other than a feeling. Tho I would not be surprised if it is a character we haven't seen yet and he is going to be involved with the Erynn stuff later.

May I interest you to simp for Iris. According to MC they look a lot like each other with Erynn, she is also a controversial LI, the friction between Iris and Alexis was visible in the last update which will undoubtedly cause textwall wars between their fans when Iris gain enough support from the fanbase. Also you can say I was there before all of you to other Iris simps, if you jump in the wagon early in the game. She is first real love of MC, beside his weird unrealistic childhood crush. Benefits of Iris outweighs heavily of Erynn.

I get the feeling if you are on Erynn's path Iris will try to sabotage you and Erynn try to break you up out of jealously and probably anger since they cant be together. ( this is assuming they actually tell each another how they feel at this point finally lol) If you aren't on her path no idea how to guess how that will play out.

I think this being setup as a "somehow i always knew" type of thing.
Iris is already a lot less "touchy" when it comes to Erynn and says things like "i feel a special connection" instead of "she's so fucking hot i wanna eat her for days"
In comparison she's both smoother and more forward when trying to mess with Alexis.
