So a bit more than 4 months and we're a third done, which would put this the next update as having a full release date in early 2025 (since Chapter 12 came out in February 2024).

Yeah, F95 is a really good way for exposure, which is why some devs release here for free before moving on to another platform. Tune in to the Show and De Luca Family devs both did this before putting their games on Steam, and Intertwined got a big following through this site. Unless you're a long-time developer with a history of past success (like Dr. Pink Cake with Acting Lessons, or Mr. Dots with Dating my Daughter and Melody), players aren't going to pay (either in time or money) for something that might be garbage.

I think it maybe easier to simply remove that one flashback scene with Iris from the game than to change the MC's age and try to fix all of the above.

If it's just to remove the obscene scene, I would agree, but I disagree with removing the entire flashback. I thought it turned out really well, and I loved that young Iris.

It would be good. At the time, it might have been important for the chapter's release, but now with several chapters already published, it wouldn't be a problem to remove it.

Yea. That's what I meant too. Just one explicit scene in the flashback can be changed to something not explicit to keep the flow of the story going.
It's a very good scene. But it's not worth all the drama honestly.

You're all forgetting one thing: Nyx doesn't give a shit about the age thing. Patreon had no problem with it and that's the only thing that mattered to her. She changed the age thing solely because so many alleged players were constantly bugging her about it and she was constantly pestered about it. In the end, she said that she was changing the numbers so that the toddlers would stop bitching and that she didn't care if the new ages made sense.
Any discussion about this is therefore pointless. She knows that the ages don't really fit the story anymore, but it doesn't bother her. If it bothers the players, they shouldn't have complained about it beforehand. From a European perspective, the debate is ridiculous anyway. Sexual intercourse between teenagers is normal here and only a very small minority have a problem with it. Nyx is a Greek woman living in Spain, so she obviously has a European background.
And once again: it was fine for Patreon. It was players who had a problem. So we've to deal with it thanks to some fellas.

More like Patreon missed it or never saw it. I refuse to believe she is changing it to appease a few whiners. Patreon for damn sure, even 2 years ago, would have a huge fucking problem with what is effectively chi1d porn (because the authorities could also sue the shit out of them too if for no other reason).
Sorry Trem, anyone saying (and believing) Patreon knew about this and were all...'is ok..it's all fine' is majorly deluded.
FFS...that is not the issue. Underage teens are fucking like rabbits here too.....Nyx could have described it, fine...but you CANNOT SHOW IT if one is a minor (animated or otherwise)!
And once again, I can assure you, fuck what Patreon may or may not have known about or were ok with...the fucking LAW would have a problem with it (a pretty universal law btw all around the damn world), therefore so would Patreon! Yeah, sure. After they got her under review five times? They missed it all the five times? Well, after all, nothing changed after these reviews.
That's not what I wrote. She changed it to shut people up and have peace of mind. Changing a few lines of dialog may have cost her half an hour of her life. Working through these toddlers over and over again obviously cost her more than just a few hours. Why should she go to more trouble than changing a few words in the code, let alone changing everything from a high school setting to a college setting? That would be months of rework without working on new content.
She resisted changing the age of the MC for a long time, precisely because it's kind of pointless. At the end of the day, however, it's an extremely small detail in the context of the whole story. It's just Nyx's way of giving the middle finger to petty idiots. You may say:
Well, she made clear she don't give fucks anymore about this.

Having what is classed as child p0rn in your VN is not a small little unimportant detail. A detail Nyx chose to put in by explicitly stating the MC's age and explicitly stating the timelength of his relationship and when with Iris. Or she failed to do simple math (would not surprise me). I'll leave it for others to decide if Nyx was pushing the boundaries or she not that smart.
Again, you're pushing the narrative...if you really believe....truly think Patreon saw that...and were fine with it...(when you have no idea exactly how many times she has been 'inspected'...if she even actually has, or what she showed them....or what she purposefully didn't...when...)
Then....I really don't know what to say. Unless we're also going to assume whoever keeps 'inspecting' her is as dumb as rocks also when it comes to basic math and a global age law? (also a possibility I guess).
I think I've mentioned before, I'm more amazed the page is still here considering it's confirmed in the script, when F95 admins are happy to cover their asses (legally) over what just 'appears' to be underage (rule 7 is it, along with their recent loli announcement).

Intimacy can be implied without being explicitly shown. There's no problem showing Iris in a state of undress in the flashback as she's over 18 back then anyway so you can keep the scene up until MC starts undressing then fade to black, it would make it clear what happened without breaking any laws. There's any number of movies and TV shows with underage characters which have done the same thing.

Seriously? Childs? Don't wanna hurt feelings of someone but Intertwined isn't a movie with actors. I hope you never went to Louvre in Paris, because, boy, would you get upset about some art there. But it doesn't matter at all. Patreon was fine with it. It was just Nyx who didn't wanted to deal with all the whining of a certain crowd. It was a small crowd but they're noisy and annoying.
If changing of a few words in some dialogues upsets you so much, you can just uncompile the game and edit the rpy files back in the state you want. Oh wait, you don't have to change anything. The changes will come with the next update release. Maybe you should save these files so you can just copy them back after the update. In the current state Intertwined is what its always was.
