I've been wondering the same thing. Whether Darryl turn out to be a real friend. Can't put my finger on any reason for thinking that, just a possibility been floating around in my head. Like you said a friend trajectory in reverse to Zac.
forget what path it is on. ( might be Nikki's) But on path 1 path Darryl shows up as a delivery boy and I forget the conversation but I recall I started to feel bad for him. So I wonder if on the path it's possible to befriend him a bit in the future.
I think he can be humanized, he's a bit of dick but most of it can probably be explained by competitiveness on track and the fact that he probably needs the scholarship to go to college(more on that later).
Layla/Elena, he delivers chicken wings to the house.
I think its on Layla's path when they order some spicy chiken, Daryl goes to deliver and the player can tip him or not, if not he says something like he isnt surprised by it, he doesnt view mc in a good light either.
I really cant see him befriending MC, something big would need to happen to bring these two closer. And in Val's path, he going for her like that, staight up harassing her made me deslike him very much, and hes quite handsy as displayed on the gym.
There's something to be said about his handsy style(had to be the stereotypical black guy huh), i agree.
DARRYL AND MC'S CURRENT RELATIONSHIP:
Be nice and honest to her, and don't be a creep. Befriend with Layla but don't take it further. Don't be in a relationship with Alexis.
relatively simple: wherever you get decision buttons with Valeria, you take the answers where you get relationship points (assuming you have installed the WT Mod). It starts with the bus ride to the camp
or even simpler: use console to "boost" stats with her.
darryl is a bit of an asshole, but he ain't evil imo unlike ethanI agree, but his antagonism will not go very far, Zach isn't the smartest guy around and the only way he could make MC's life more difficult would be with Ethan's guidance, but Ethan would not be around often to properly guide him and then Zach would probably screw up things and make the wrong move while sinking the whole plan, Ethan would lose his patience and throw him away at some point as Zach is 100% disposable (Zach would probably run back to MC asking for forgiveness). But if Ethan somehow takes Daryl to his side to make the "asshole trio", then this could pose some danger to MC as he would attack on the Erynn front (himself), MC's popularity, credibility and social life (Zach, Daryl and his crew) - with Daryl guiding Zach and on sports if Ethan does something (legal or not) to improve Daryl's performance on competitions and/or sabotage MC.
And i think Daryl has even more "reasons" to want to sabotage or go against MC than Zach, depending on the path, MC can fuck his girlfriend, throw her away with her wanting more, get popular with the ladies, beat him on the competition taking his spot light and then take the new girl he got a crush on (Valeria).
On this front theres two things i cant wait to see:
1- MC "snitching" to Valeria everything Zach did.
2- Daryl seeing MC and Valeria togheter.
And if this (2) could happen in front of Tori, even better, i can totally see her laughing at him, making jokes and saying that Val is in for a treat as MC is good with sex and Daryl realizing MC fucked Tori, something tells me Daryl would be "a bit" pissed
Make sure you cock block that twat Zach at any chance when at summer camp. Don't try to look at her extra pictures when she gives you her phone. When training and MC stares down at her, answer nosering. She should lick MC's face during dares if her points are high enough and be able to swap underwear. MC should get an option to makeout at the photo booth if you have enough points. Yeah dont get involved with other girls..
