Hi, is it okay that when you're dating Layla, Erynn is trying to get you to 'go out' with Alexis, and at the beach, you can be with Iris, then later, you can kiss Erynn? I can't make sense of how you can be with Erynn while she knows you're with Layla, and at the same time, Erynn is also trying to get you to be with Alexis

Have you used a mod or changed values in the console? Erynn trying to set MC up with Alexis when he's with Layla is known as the "Alexis secret path" and should only be active if you are friends with Erynn but not romantically involved with her.

I’m on the secret path, but I can also kiss Erynn—unless it’s because of the photo shoot. That said, if I chose not to do the photo shoot, I would go straight to the Erynn friend path, but I chose to do it.

This one looks like a better match for the Melissa dream guy, but i wouldn't put much stock on tattoo matching since these things are still in flux.


In my opinion there's so much suggestion it's John that it would be kinda lame to pull a different guy who fits the description perfectly, just for a "you thought it was John, but Erynn's dad is actually his cousin/brother (who we never heard about before)".

If we do a count:
He fits the decription(tall, blonde and tattoed).

Looking at Erynn immediately brings some memories of someone he knew (you are gonna make that just upon gazing at Erynn he immediately thinks about a girl his brother/cousin fucked 20 years ago? That's justifiable for an uber hot girl you fucked... but way more difficult for someone else's girl).

Erynn herself thinking "this guy is the perfect match of what mom told me" upon looking at him.

And the constant... Erynn and Iris are so much like each other... they look like they could be sisters.

Erynn also knows his first name of her father and that didn't stop her thinking this could be her dad.

While i'm sure Nyx(not just her, most devs) would love to pull this type of gotcha and surprise players, they shouldn't do that at the expense of a good story.
A new guy would be meaningless, John as Erynn's dad will be emotional.

But poor Iris' dreams will be crushed.

You will sacrifice so much story and drama potential for an empty, short term gotcha moment.

Since the players have already figured out who John is, use your gotcha moment for the reveal and maximum emotional impact. We can guess who he is but we can't predict exactly when, where and how it will be revealed.

One last written but unsent letter.
A early draft from one of the letters, before she rewrote because of "mistakes"(having words crossed/traced over for effect).
Andres having not delivered one, he knew what would happen and decided to save it.

I really like the idea of the "unsent" letter from Erynn that she had held on to, unsure of whether to send it or not. She then decides to give it to him and he reads for himself how much him leaving affected her. Perhaps we could even get a few renders showing a sad Erynn with Melissa and Lexi helping her through it.

100%, the "gotcha" would be sacrificing the story for a short term shock.
Yeah everyone saw this one coming... doesn't mean you have to come up with a different (much shittier)twist just to surprise people.

It's not only John-Erynn-Iris trio that we would be losing... but also a potential John-Melissa-Emily triangle.
And the MC dating another of John's daughters lol.

Focus on making the scene as emotional as possible instead of surprise effect (characters inside the story can still be surprised/shocked).

I also like your flashback idea... not bad.
Doesn't need to be very long.

Erynn starts writing a letter, Melissa comes in and says "writing another one?" and Erynn can express how sad she feels that she hasn't heard anything back yet... how she misses the little guy and wondered if she could/should've done something different.

So either ethan gets his phone stolen and ups the pressure on erryn or he finds out who john is and winds up doing something stupid/dangerous, regardless, next update is gonna be some trouble
