Brooke is specially reserved for Emily in ~80% of my playthroughs, so it had better happen.I like John with Emily just for the inevitable shit show when it gets revealed that he's Melissa's ex and Erynn's dad, for once we can watch the shitshow unfold from a safe distance...

For the most part, I just chalk her actions up to being BFF 'friendzoned' which is where MC will fit in. Same reason she doesn't care if he's around when she changes. Or cuddling on the couch. If she just sees MC as a best friend, then the actions may not be romantic/sexual to her, and no different then how she'd behave around her female friends.
The walls may break down over time and she realizes there might be something there, which would add it's own unique storytelling elements.
Most of the reason my John saves have lagged behind is just because I haven't gotten the heart to consider doing something that dirty to her like that yet.
Should Emily not be interested, then I'll come in and mop up the pieces....

Phase Two with rival Zane looks more promising.

NYX really needs to stop beating us over the head with the fact that John is Erynn's father. Hell, we even had the MC imagining Erynn was Iris a few times on their date because JOHN IS ERYNN'S FATHER. WINK.
As for the Ethan situation, getting resolved soon. I doubt it. We'll be lucky if we get a decent Elena relationship storyline in the next two updates.

There is another rare line I've only seen once, i don't remember the circumstances but when tori asks val who she'd sleep with, after darryl she CAN say "maybe <MC>". I don't remember how I got her to admit that though.

Looks tight schedule wise but who knows...
Perhaps Ethan makes his move on John this monday already(plus the consequences of the Val encounter) and maybe things move quickly from there...
All i know is that this blackmail/modelling agency corruption story isn't what hooks me to Intertwined, and it feels like it's greatly overstaying it's welcome.
Or maybe bite the bullet and allow Erynn to go official before the conclusion.
Worst kept secret, everyone has figured that out by now... i don't know what Nyx is waiting for to make the characters involved learn of this too.
Maybe the reveal will be around Ethan making his move on John. It makes some sense to connect things.
I think, ironically, it happens if you have low points...
If Valeria is actually interested on the MC she holds the secret from Tori, if she's "meh" towards the MC she calls him one of the fuckable options.

Yes that's when you don't have enough points with Val, but have a few points from the bus trip.
Looking at her phone photos without her permission is what gets most players subtracted points.
When Val is really into the mc, she doesn't reveal it to Tori. She looks at the mc with longing and the dialogue line:
" . . . "
Another Val tell from that scene is when you're with Layla on romance or friend path, she turns from Daryll to look at you and Layla with longing and some envy.
I think it makes perfect sense Val lying to Tori in this situation, she's the new girl, Tori is obviously a bit... "intense", she should be a little guarded in that situation.
The scenario where she mentions the MC simply means she finds him good looking but isn't particularly interested.

it's a weird one for me because I love it when character reveal stuff to another even if I know what it is. But at the same time kind of annoying to keep a secret from the players when there has been alot of clues.
I think even if by some miracle the Ethan blackmail stuff is resolved , Ethan probably gonna still be around for another reason.

is Val turning from Darryl to the mc and Layla with a smile on her face.
I think I found the only scene in the game, where MC will actually let one of the LI's win and doesn't force watching his lame/frustrating cheating. I completely forgot this happens on the Nikki path, just went through another run with her solo this morning.The number of times he "cheated" during the staring contest thing on Val's beach date.

And when you pick to let her win, he actually does and doesn't get all butthurt over it. I guess there is one brief moment of light amongst all his cheating shenanigans.

I loved watching MC getting all butthurt over Erynn whipping his ass in volleyball even after he tried to cheat, followed by the fact that he realized that Erynn was taking it easy on him the whole time lolz
I think that's where it's a tough line to walk.
The players (us) are the only person that have all the information available in the game. The in-game people have anywhere from none to some information. So when they "experience" something, it's new to them in-game but possibly old-hat to the player, as we've seen some or a lot of tips, hints, spoilers, of the same information.
A number of the scenes "seen" happen when the MC isn't even there... so we are already being spoiled with extra information the MC shouldn't have. Such as conversations with Emily and Mel. Or Erynn and Mel. Or Val and her mom. So when the in-game characters experience them, we've already seen/read about it.
