I mean there is no harem tag that should of been an obvious clue if that is really a requirement for you to enjoy games.
yeah, that made me super sad too. Had to come back here to check if I mis-read a tag, and yep.. no 'harem' tag. Super sad now. Makes me nervous about future changes

But, what is odd, is that you are forced to choose between Cara and Nikki, but that choice makes no difference in story as you leave shortly after. If you are being "loyal" makes no difference as you start dating a number of girls a week after arriving at Mom's place.
Then, you have to choose between between Layla and Alexis (sisters), but that's not a singular choice. As choosing one will still keep open some routes with other girls, while choosing the other will close other routes with other girls. So, the scripting is not about loyalty.
Also, even after choosing between Layla or Alexis, you are still messing around with other girls, and even reliving past relationships. why? And then that past relationship comes back. And then another. Even the authors have one of the "girls" brings up the irony of multiple ex's coming back to him just recently. Odd, huh. Almost like we're being played with.
So, I choose to keep dating Alexis as she was first, but that didn't close Erynn nor stop me from flirting with other girls.

I'm still upset that the authors chose to write the MC as a dick to his girls. Last incident was when Cara came to visit him at his Mom's home. He then leaves her there shortly after she arrives to go spend time with his CURRENT girlfriend. He never really broke things off with Cara (my choice at start of story).

And, about that early choice of Cara vs Nikki.... he still chose to get in to a sexual relationship with the 2 step-sisters when he moved in with them, but then when the date of his "dad's" marriage was announced, he had to break it off with them???? Because that officiality would then make it wrong?? And then, before he left for the wedding he learned that he's not related to his "dad" and thus there would no be a "step-sister" issue once his dad marries... but still chooses to break things off. eh??? Again, kinda dickish.

He's had sex with Alexis before, but then when invited to her home to use her shower, he gets ashamed that she walks in on him while showering and makes comment that he should have locked the door. No dude would say that or think that. And not be ashamed of being nude with a girl he's had sex with and might have sex with right at that moment.

And, he gets mad at his girls not telling him their secrets, but then whole story's basis is about people not talking to each other about problems. MC then dates multiple girls without telling them.
And author's wrote the MC's girls as really falling for him and wanting him, but then has the MC pretending to only date Alexis (my choice) while at same time Erynn, while keeping the other girls at arm's length while still flirting with them.
Seems like this was written to be a harem, but then changed direction part way through.

Also, they are 18 but drinking.

I'm just after their attendance at the summer camp, so the story may change from this point on.

Now personally I find harem games to be complete trash like 99% of the time. It makes no sense and makes the girls feel like mindless sex dolls for the pleasure of the MC, rather than like real people with feelings.
You don't have to date around btw, that's what the points system about with the LI's. If your MC is fooling around and not being loyal, that's because you are choosing not to be. Not that the game is forcing you to.

And this is why the best way to play this game is sticking to just one girl. Even if you left Cara/Nikki behind at first, soon after you can get back together with them provided you didn't straight up broke up with them due to the lack of points. And if you had enough points for both of them you could chose which one to pursue. While not ideal, it makes sense in a long run to just be faithful to one girl. If you chose to pursue other girls in the new city then that's on you, you chose to cheat since you didn't break up with your then love interest. You then move to Madison Springs and soon get invited to your dad's and Hailey's wedding where you can chose to continue the relationship with the girl you chose previously. And then after some drama you can get back together and have her be your girlfriend. Best way to go about this is to just keep to being friends with the rest of the girls when you go to the new city from the very start even though it may be tempting to go against it. Ofc, this is not immediately obvious but it is totally on you to be faithful or not. Later on she can then become your one and only official girlfriend who other girls will start acknowledging as your girlfriend.
Some LI routes are not as clear and immediately available and that is by design, to see if you can remain faithful or not. If you want other girls best way is to just not max out points with Nikki/Cara in the first place and you still remain as friends. If on their route, you can chose to tell them you were seeing other girls, straight up brake up with them or keep it a secret from them and cheat but as we learned in this latest episode, they will be moving to your city as soon as next week and they are bound to find out anyway and then you will end up with no girlfriend at all most likely. So bottom line is, better to just stick with one girl from the get go to avoid any future drama and brake-ups, unless you actually want to cheat but then don't complain when it blows up in your face.
As for them drinking at 18, in most other countries drinking age is not 21 but 18 so that's probably why Nyx went with that choice.

With this game, the ball is always in your court and choices matter. If you chose wrong, don't complain about it. you can always reload to make a different choice or go for a different route. Its not that hard to understand

OH, thought that was recently changed. Did not realize that was still that way.

So, it's the player's fault when the script doesn't take certain choices in to account?
And, it's our right to complain. That's why there is a forum here. I'm glad you feel differently and can express that here too. It's not that hard to understand.

btw, now that you mentioned it ... how can we check the points level of the girl's in this game?

All of your issues are YOUR choices. It seems strange to me to be complaining about how you chose to play the game when you were not forced to.

"I'm still upset that the authors chose to write the MC as a dick to his girls."
Is only if YOU choose to be. You can play multiple paths where he is not a dick to anyone.

"MC then dates multiple girls without telling them."
Again, YOU chose to do that. I have many paths where I am only dating/fucking 1 girl and am on friendly non sexual paths with all the others.

no idea why you quoted a post of mine from a year ago seems like a strange way to complain.

I honestly disagree with most of this. As it's your choice as the player and the MC does reflect your choices to a degree. I never had to choose between Layla or Alexis for example because it was my choice to not play both paths , the game does the force you.

As far your complaint about Cara that is entirely reflected in your choices why the MC is a "dick". When you go back for the wedding you can make choices to peruse Cara or Nikki more or keep them at a distance with your choices and then is a moment right before you leave which makes gives her them a signal that the MC wants a relationship. Because if you do not go with said choice they don't hey that impression from the MC so they don't visit him. So the MC being a dick to one of them because he has another girlfriend when they come for a visit is 100% entirely reflected on your choices as the player not because of the game.

I agree, a harem game, where there's no downsides to picking every girl gets boring, sure there's some fun to be had with crazy orgies... but it's too much of a silly fantasy.
The Intertwined style feels more real, more relatable and allows you to live in this world.
Your choices affect the story in meaningful ways, i love seeing how characters react to our choices, including/specially the bad ones.

Ain't gonna lie. The scene with Emily and John in the latest episode gotta left a bad taste.

Like it was ok till we have a pretty mom and logical reasonable mc to not go after her but letting john tap that.....I understand that I should not have selected that option but curiosity got the better of me.

And the way she described it she is a damn tease. Nyx is evil.
To each their own i guess, for me the scene was actually pretty hot. Is MC's mom supposed to be a nun and never date anyone again? But again, it is your choice to either encourage her to date John in the first place in the earlier episode, a choice which you apparently took so why complain about it now when it actually came to fruition? Besides, you can still skip the scene if you don't want to see it. Same with when you can see Hailey and the coach Mike banging. It is a choice game and the choices matter so better to think about what you are choosing instead of just speed clicking willy-nilly and then later complaining when something didn't go to your liking.

But remember, its always wise to save at every choice so you can reload if the result is not to your liking.

If this is the reaction to the mother character finding a date...
I wonder what will be the reaction if girls you ignored/closed the door start finding boyfriends

Indeed, plus most harem centric games don't really have the need for replayability since you can pursue every girl at once. They are usually one and done for me. With games like Intertwined however, i always find myself playing multiple times and making different choices each time and i get much more hours out of them. But i guess some people just like to rush these games just to see the sex scenes and move on to the next and don't really get attached to the story much, which IMO is a shame because a bunch of these games have great stories to tell
