I can't agree on this one, sorry. If you want to see that in negative way, she is plain stupid. Or if you want to see it in positive way, she is naïve. Ethan is good at manipulating people and he manipulated Erynn. I am not going to victim blame her on this. Was it wrong to stay friends with him after MC left? Definitely. Is she a bad person because of it? Absolutely not. I don't like her a bit, she is not that beautiful either. Whenever someone mentions how beautiful she is, I say 'yeah, right' but not a twat about that. Only time Erynn being unfair was her interaction with Alexis at the bar, especially when she blamed her fucking Ethan, other than that I don't remember her being a bad person. Btw, I don't believe in her explanation. There is more to there we don't know. When someone confessed to you, you don't say just a minute and go laugh at memes. I would not be surprised she was laughing at MC about the confession.

Only when she wouldn't date him she showed his true colors again and that's when she cut him out of her life until the blackmail. No, she did stay friends with him. He wanted more than friendship, she refused, he became toxic. Made sure all of her friends leave her. Then when it came to Alexis, she cut him off. Even then, she had her doubts because she brought up the lie Ethan told to Alexis when they fought.

Emily pissed me off; she was willing to go along with Andres's demands until she fucked up as a mother. The reveal came from something that had nothing to do with him at all. She was willing to have Andres raise him as a child when he became too difficult to raise, but when it came time to own up for her fuck ups, she threw his ass under the bus.

As for the Erryn situation, yes, Erryn was a dumb child who underestimated her control over Ethan. Honestly, at that age, most children are stupid. As far as she knew, Ethan was apologetic for what he did to MC. MC was also a dumbass for running off without talking to her, but ya know, child. I'm not mad at anyone in that situation for what they did because it gives these people flaws, which I'm fine with.

It's not a semantics game though, is it? I said, she should not stay friends with Ethan after MC left. You said she did not, then I said she cut him off after he went after Alexis. No need to define what staying friends mean, we both mean the same thing. She was not willing to cut Ethan off for MC or any other friends of her except Alexis. So your statement is not wrong on its own but it's wrong as a reply to mine.

less than 2 months of in game time. in terms of updates no idea. I'd say probably 1/2 way maybe slightly more in terms of updates. But I don't think we are close to the end just yet in terms of updates unless things speed up all of a sudden. But last update was only 3 days of in game time and we still got a month and some change to go.

Because I don't like like to make conflict or escalating a situation even if I know what the other person said or doing is in the wrong. I just don't have the backbone to standup for myself let alone another person most of the time as im a very passive person. The argument during the flashback runs along the lines of (paraphrased) "...Again I'm telling you to leave him alone, or else....". So they've been at this point at least a few times prior to this flashback moment. At what number is arguing with Ethan to defend the MC pointless? Yeah she's only a teenager, but even then I'd hope she'd just get that much more irritated and walk away after doing it at least a few times.

When Erynn says that Ethan became a (paraphrased) "normal person" after the MC left town, it would mean Erynn is saying prior to that, Ethan was known for problems with the MC. Again a repetition issue.

Like the saying says: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." By that point in time, a better response for Erynn would have been to just cut it off and go find the MC. But then MC never would have left town, Ethan never would have blackmailed her, and most of the story wouldn't exist as it does now....

We can only assume that things kept escalating...
The first time probably along the lines of "come on Ethan don't do that" all the way to the flashback we saw where it was more "stop or we are done".
And according to her Ethan did stop at least for a time (trying a different approach to get in her pants obviously).

You know that there has been a lot of talk for the past few years about sociopathy being a highly common and effective trait for large corporate executive level jobs, and we know Ethan's father is CEO of the modelling agency/entertainment firm/whatever it is. That could be passed on by either genetics or environment. Just pure speculation, here. Also, quite often, people like Ethan are irredeemable. Any consequences strong enough to give him an attitude adjustment would probably break him, he's been sheltered from consequences for his entire life.
