Alexis is the one who already did something dishonest to keep the MC... and then there's biting/branding the MC after hearing the Erynn song (which just makes me want to cheat on her more).
All other girls display some jealousy(which is natural), but they keep it under wraps.
Yes. All the other ladies give the MC dirty looks or jealous looks.

I used to like Lexi. Now I don't hate her, but I feel it's best to keep my distance (or cheat on her like you.)
Oh I don't know. Layla doesn't give me clinger or unhinged vibes. Unpopular opinion probably, but I think Lexi is the time bomb.

Layla's definitely the jealous type though just not as of yet in a volatile way. If you're dating her, she's insecure as fuck around Valeria though (and she has a damn good reason to be!)

This is the most jealous (if looks could kill) look she has given the MC so far.

Alexis suffered in the transition from "fun girl" to "madly in love", her actions(or justifications) didn't resonate with me.
On one hand she's portrayed as this nice person, but her actions are selfish and dishonest.
And her uber romantic persona these days also meshes somewhat poorly with the "one night stand, bootcalling chick" she starts as.
I would make her more of a "villain", counsciouly and deliberately selfish and possessive, but it seems that's not what Nyx wants(only men can be villains?).

As for Layla, she's lucky she looks cute when jealous lol.

Those are good points. That would make Lexi the most inconsistently written of the ladies with too sudden character turns. She would make an interesting villain turn if written properly.

And the reconciliation (Lexi path) between Lexi and Erynn is too easy considering how dramatic and emotional their friendship break-up was when Erynn confronts her. (I really liked the friendship breakup scene.) And if you're not on the Lexi path, it's like their friendship break-up never happened.

And yes, Layla is a precious girl.

This is the problem with many games, the LI can't become the enemy. Although it could be so for certain choices, if the main character cheated, for example, the girl could become the enemy and then ruin his life. Or cheat back if he doesn't know that she knows about the cheating. But for some reason devs don't do such things, and that's strange, because a badly offended girl is often very vindictive.

Hopefully future games and game developers can innovate and add your suggestions to their games. It would make the games more complex and realistic which others wouldn't like, but I would be all for. A lot of people play these games for the porn, but I also like playing them for the characters and the stories.

Intertwined has its flaws, but I am enjoying most of it.

Two things must coincide: it must be a very high quality game to get decent support and a brave developer who is not afraid of a negative reaction. Well, and a suitable format of the game, because if such negative outcomes are also intertwined with the story, branching out can be difficult to implement.

I enjoy Intertwined, too. I remember not even being bothered by Melissa's pool in the beginning, where the water looked like it was drawn in a paint, because everything else and most importantly the characters feel real. The girls are not just sexу "templates", but exactly the personalities.

That's the problem with changing tack on the roles of characters, Alexis wasn't meant to be a full LI at first, she was meant to be a one night stand (potentially a tripwire on the Erynn path), but Nyx liked the character so much that she turned her into a full LI, but the characterisation she was given when introduced doesn't translate to being a full LI so her personality needed a 180 flip to make her into LI material.

Yup, their reconciliation just happens off screen...
"Hey i'm going out with Alexis".
Compare that with what needed to happen to get them talking if Alexis is still in the picture...

This is the problem with many games, the LI can't become the enemy. I wasn't even advocating for cancelling her as a LI, by all means give the player the option to side with the "bad chick".
It's just that she does bad things and our options are either complete forgiveness or end things for good.
As i see it there's no redeeming, just shoving the mistakes aside.

After the forgiveness we are suppoused to buy her as this "angel" who would never hurt a fly, but we already saw her be selfish and dishonest... i think a more edgy take would play better than the angel imo.
And yes if she stuck by her early actions she would make for a perfect vindictive ex.

Yup, most of my criticism can be tracked down to this course correction.

Lexi is writtin' in as the typical conniving, side-busting, self serving 'so-called' friend.
This is nothing new, especially but not exclusively to dime-store soup-opera drama.
Have known people like this first hand, it happens.

Ones whom cannot be honest or give a shit for themselves enough to be a full-on genuine friend.
There is nothing true in the sense of romance, deceiving one self and others for narcissistic gain.
Being a Girlfriend/Boyfriend, the key is friend.

Consequences happen sooner or later, cause and effect.
Saw it happening growing up around adults time and time again.
Some never learn and some, learn a very costly hard way.

I think there's a great disconnect about how she's been written and how the game expects us to perceive her and her actions.
Despite everything the game is firmly on her side, if you confront her you are suppoused to feel bad, the poor thing just "loves too much", so i don't expect any comeuppance.

"Lexi is bad" discussion
Bad and boring, typical writers pet.

There are several inconsistencies.
See it as Nyx doing what many writers/developers have done in the past and present as well.
Get so much their plate, things get overlooked, milestone relationship events, characters braking profile, ect ect ect.

Left treated as they never happen at all when in fact, it's there plane as day.
Writing multi paths in any novel, it occurs.
Nothing and no one is perfect, part of life in learning.

I just see her as an optional LI. She can be completely removed from the story and every single event in the story progresses with or without her. She's literally just the unnecessary spice character with no real impact on the narrative. In that respect she's even less impactful than a side character like Brooke - who I suspect is a serial killer - because at least side characters have a minor impact on the story.

It's the same thing with Cara and Nikki, but at least they have some role in the story as they are part of the reason why MC moves back home. But after that flashback chapter with them, they become completely ignorable fanservice characters.

I remember when the MC was at Melissa's house at the pool and Erynn comes out with Lexi and Lexi sees the MC and ignores him.

It's a tantrum of an immature girl I think Erynn is more mature and even Layla despite being very jealous is still more mature than her older sister

So despite my hatred towards Erynn, which was almost always just to annoy her fans, I prefer her over Alexis.
