Alexis suffered in the transition from "fun girl" to "madly in love", her actions(or justifications) didn't resonate with me.
On one hand she's portrayed as this nice person, but her actions are selfish and dishonest.
And her uber romantic persona these days also meshes somewhat poorly with the "one night stand, bootcalling chick" she starts as.
I would make her more of a "villain", counsciouly and deliberately selfish and possessive, but it seems that's not what Nyx wants(only men can be villains?).
As for Layla, she's lucky she looks cute when jealous lol.
Lexi is writtin' in as the typical conniving, side-busting, self serving 'so-called' friend.
This is nothing new, especially but not exclusively to dime-store soup-opera drama.
Have known people like this first hand, it happens.
Ones whom cannot be honest or give a shit for themselves enough to be a full-on genuine friend.
There is nothing true in the sense of romance, deceiving one self and others for narcissistic gain.
Being a Girlfriend/Boyfriend, the key is
friend.
Consequences happen sooner or later, cause and effect.
Saw it happening growing up around adults time and time again.
Some never learn and some, learn a very costly hard way.
