yeah I was planning replaying the game first as it's been awhile but with the cliffhanger and the beach Erynn date don't think I can wait. im probably gonna redo my solo paths for my favorites in the upcoming weeks after playing my favorite paths in the update ( Erynn and Alexis mainly might check out Elena and Nikki as well), then i'll do a replay cause been awhile since ive replayed the game. Then finish of by doing the paths im not all that invested in very slowly . I'm not gonna worry about redoing my saves to see new content that has been reworked in early chapters until we get more of it , i'll see it when I see it.

I'd be too eager to do a full playthrough right out of the box.
I'd end up rushing through to get to the new stuff, i wouldn't be able to properly pay attention and appreciate the changes introduced with the remake.
It's better to do it after the excitement has come down and i can look at the changes with calm eyes and see if i spot new details.

I can't even pretend to be mad at the thought of having to play through this game again a bunch of times. Especially like you said, the possibility of seeing an updated scene or even catching something I may have missed the first time on that path.

agh I can't do replays any time soon. Just before the saves got fucked last time I organized every route I wanted, so goodbye to those Then I did the whole thing again. That's like 20+ playthroughs. Honestly if she did it again and had to start all over I don't think I'd have it in me.

you are not missing anything important, all they add are visual updates to old chapters. New environments, better lighting, that sort of thing. They improve a lot on the old renders and are nice to look at, but for me not worth yet another playthrough. Story-wise you can keep going and won't miss anything, otherwise it would again mess up the the saves if she introduced new variables. I think the main one will be the age retcon, I'll probably start a new game just to see how she digs herself out of that corner Or just look up the changes in the script if I'm lazy

I get it, the changes aren't suppoused to be a totally different story, but retouched with better visuals(plus the new "held back a year" thing lol)... still curiosity gets the better of me.
And depending on how many saves a person has it does get tiresome to redo them all.

I think i'm gonna do what i said in my last post, "park" a save where things flip from new and pretty to old and busted...
After i play the update i pick up this thing and carry it until the new change point between old and new.
Since it's still early game, before any important decisions, i can just do one "keeping all options open" save for now.

Once the remake reaches "Alexis or Layla?" and you have to start making choices it's where it gets more complicated.

unless there was a change put into effect in between ch 12 and ch 13 it wasn't in the game. Wasn't until mid deveolopment of ch 13 Nyx decided to age up the MC.

That's what I'm saying all the time. It doesn't matter how long release times are. The only thing that matters is content, content, content, and content. Nyx uses her renders in scenes in more than just one screen. Not like Summer Heat where you get a new picture every time you press the button or a key. Can you imagine how much time of gameplay we'll get? Personally I'll take a game with a few hours gameplay every 8-10 months always over a monthly release with just half an hour.

Thank goodness Nyx understands how to take advantage of her renders, if Intertwined had the same development as SH we probably wouldn't know Nikki or Cara yet.

one way to drastically reduce playtime. You can easily fuck up the Cara/Nikki route, same with Layla/Lexi, and as a consequence Elena (and I believe Val too). Erynn is also easy to mess up. You'll also miss out on Iris. So what are you left with? Tori? (and maybe Brooke)

I was going to say Melissa, but if you've fucked up Erynn's path badly, you've probably lost your shot at her mother.

Disagree on Cara/Nikki, the only unsafe decision is Julia, anything else flies under the radar with them.
Poor Cara even meets Erynn and Alexis and says "they are so cool", poor girl.
Nikki at least knows to instantly dislike the girls she meets, Erynn and Val .

Layla and Alexis is also a choice that needs to be made... going with Layla is a bit better, afterall you can get the Layla path even after banging Alexis several times, and by doing that you leave Alexis sad and broken that the guy she likes dumped her for her little sister, that's chefs kiss scumbag perfection.

Choosing Alexis creates no immediate friction, Layla moves on pretty easily... but as a consolation you can cheat on Alexis with Val, Tori, Nikki/Cara, flirt with Erynn and Iris and even her fucking mom... so i see plenty of heartbreak in the girl's future.

And you forgot Gabi, Gabi always stays available for fucking around

That's correct, but the person who goes unavailable is Elena(who let's face it, has terrible "availability" anyways), Gabi is simple, stays available as long as you keep banging her.

even still I don't think animations will be alot , this isn't a fuck fest game so while there will be probably a decent amount of animations and sex across all paths I don't think it will take to much away from that 7k total.

right, mc has had sex around 10 times and quite a portion of that is from early game before main story started.

You'll laugh, but I actually have a save like that, it's called "no friends". I only get all the points from Emily: I definitely want that motorbike!!!
