If anything was to happen to John it would be after that reveal, you'd have Emily and Mel falling out and Iris confused about how to go forward knowing she has a crush on her own sister when suddenly John gets killed and everything gets thrown back up in the air, that would increase the tragedy factor and (crucially for Nyx) the drama of the situation

We aren't, but I can see it being true. Nyx already regrets the bike as it requires rendering alternate scenes for multiple routes.

There are so many support characters that culling a few will likely trim some of the branching. In John's case, is he dating Emily? That adds further alternates needing rendered and scripted.

Yeah, nobody (of us fans) want John dead (except for pervs wanting to fuck their own mom), but if you think Nyx is only killing Zach and Ethan, you're delusional. If Freakin' Zo gets whacked, at least we'll have a shot at Adrianna....

I'm indifferent on John tbh. I always avoid him dating Emily, not because I want MC to bang Emily, but I find it weird after dating his daughter for a prolonged period, having him fuck Emily just feels...off.

Also he's Iris' and possibly Erynn's father, which opens up a whole can of Patreon ToS worms (step-incest) if MC is on their paths.

For me I avoid him dating Emily on my main saves for one reason and that is called Mommy Brooke.

The OGs of this thread who didn't like the MC would call him "jaw guy".

I think Nyx has corrected "jaw guy" with the reworked Chapters.

A new player would be playing the reworked first chapters with the MC's newer face then might get surprised with the older version of his face when the game reaches the chapters that haven't been reworked.

(Plus I always thought clean shaven MC and stubble mc looked like two different people.)

same bro, I was on board with them dating until mommy Brooke came into the picture, afterwards I immediately changed the date variable on all my saves :ROFLMAO: But I'll still check out future John/Emily scenes, could lead to some awesome and awkward moments (when Melissa meets him for example)

There's a difference between "dating" and "marrying." I dont' mind mom having some fun. Also, Brooke is her employee, so that's got some ick factor as well. John's gonna flip when he meets Melissa. He still thinks and mentions that girl from his past...
