So who killed Rachel ?
I don't think it's related to Ethan's gang because so far there's no obvious link between Rachel and the modelling/escorting prostitution rings that Ethan is running.
Especially as Rachel is wrote as a slut that will just fuck everything that moves without a need to get money out of it (and so without needing to enter Ethan's circles).
I think the murder may be more related to Brooke, the woman that always creepily lust over the MC mother, especially as there was absolutely no reason that during one of her dialogues, Brooke would "joke" to the MC about Rachel and the dumpster before the corpse discovery if she had nothing to do with it, if it was only a red herring, it would be a bit too ridiculously cartoony

But even if she is involved that does not mean she is the murderer, she could be part of something else or paid someone to do it as we know nothing about her after all or what she has to do with Rachel (did she saw Rachel as a threat, or did she wanted to make her pay for wasting the MC mother time or putting more difficulty to the mother restaurant budget with the firing of many of the workers ?).
And as said Rachel is wrote as a complete slut that will fuck everything, so it could be just a bad random encounter that comes with the lifestyle, not necessarly related to anything that is currently going on, as murderers and other similar piece of shits do not require to be already part of the plot to exist, that could be a character that hasn't yet be introduced in the MC story.
I wonder if the restaurant scene of the next update in which the MC isn't present is related to Brooke shenanigans, or if it is for a date between John and the MC mother (as you can get the MC to accept his mother dating John), i also wonder when the reveal about Erynn beings John's daughter will happen. Probably shortly before the corpse of Ethan is discovered in a garbage dump near some motorcycle tracks
