I've finally finished all the restaurant scenes. I also added another scene which was planned for a future episode but it fitted in there perfectly. That also opens up other scenes way faster than planned. In that scene, there is another reveal. I don't think anyone has figured this one out yet, but it will start some discussions.
Working on the 2 last scenes for a few days now but I've hit a dilemma. I knew about this already a couple of episodes ago when I wrote this scene but back then I still had plenty of time to think about what to do. Now I'm at that point in the scene and I'm still not sure. I've originally planned to have a choice in that scene. And it's a major choice which can change parts of the story dramatically. Creating that scene isn't the issue, the issue is in future episodes. It will increase my workload twofold since it will influence almost every other future scene + the new scenes it creates. I want to give the players the option just to see what happens if you pick that choice, because I think you would be interested in it. But I also know that 95+% of the players will ultimately pick the other option. I think it's more of a one-time thing.
For now I will create the scene, just to have the option once I've decided what to do with it. Let me know what you think about it.

Ah that's because of the new renders... there's a chunk of renders in the frist chapter(s) that were re-made, so you're going from the new ones, to the old ones, hence the different look... I'm not sure if the dev's gonna keep adding more re-renders, but I'm assuming she will eventually, at least until the MC catches up to the hairtcut melissa gives him, but yeah, I still had one save file of the same scene but with the old renders, so you can see the difference:

This right here which is why I think Elena will take longer than Erynn when it comes to actually having lewd scenes in the future. Because while there most likely will be a way for her to forgive the MC, that shit is going to take some time if at all. Knowing this game too probably will be easy to mess it up and lock her out if you pick the wrong choice as well.

hmm didn't think about that for the throuple and non throuple path guess I know what path ill be taking and doing last when it comes to Elena and Layla. If what you said becomes true since I only see Layla as a good friend for the MC because of that I play her content last just to see it once.
From the last progress update that was posted here it looks like the biggest scene was finished. Nyx said there is 2 more left. My best guess is February or Early March but who knows, could be sooner or later depending on how long those scenes are.
I mean, who knows, maybe Nyx has just been teasing everyone and won't make a throuple path... that'd be absolutely terrible considering how damn much she's been teasing it, but you never know, Nyx seems to have a reputation.
However, assuming it's not just a gigantic "troll", then yeah, I think choosing Layla will give you access to solo Layla (obviously) and throuple, while rejecting her will give you access to solo Elena after a ton of drama.
Or maybe rejecting Layla is the path to the throuple... it would be illogical but again, Nyx, so who knows xD

3) The fact that the MC looks familiar to the friend can be explained by Val's mom seeing a photo of him in Val's hands and then seeing him from the car, but Gabi's friend says that no matter your relationship with Val

(my old one) Santiago Navarro married Val's mom instead of Emily and they had Val together, then when Val was 8 or 9 he divorced her mom and married Gabi.

A major choice that would change parts of the story dramatically, and would influence almost every other scene? One that over 95% of the players won't choose? I have no idea what that could possibly be, but it sounds like a bad idea. Any guesses as to what they could be talking about?
A new tattoo in a very visible area? Something like that would affect almost all scenes, because you'd need to have an alternate render of every shot with him in it. But that wouldn't change the story drastically, unless it was an exceptionally awful tattoo.
A chance to start an exclusive relationship with Tori as her new boyfriend? That would change the story dramatically, and could possibly rule out more than 95% of people. Hell, it would probably just be me and a handful of others interested in that. So... yeah that one's worth it because I'd enjoy it, and I'm sure everyone else here would be totally cool with waiting twice as long to progress with their favourites. Right? You guys wouldn't mind that would you?
I don't think that's it. While tattoo or piercing makes perfect sense, I doubt it's something you could call a major choice from a player's perspective. It would be something major for a dev, not for us.
Tori route is probably also not it. The reason why I think that is because NYX wouldn't bother creating every scene twice just to show the reflection of your decision. I reckon she would just make Layla and Elena stop talking to you and that would be a perfect excuse to skip school scenes all together while showing the short Tori exclusive content
I had a few hiccups the last couple days. There was something wrong with a certain asset I've been using for the scene I'm working on right now. I always batch render during the night and when I'm at work, so I'll get to see the finished renders once I'm back home. Which led to this problem. 3/4 of all the renders were pitch black. First I had no idea why. The camera was positioned correctly and not in a wall or something, the lighting worked since it worked in the other 1/4 of the renders. After hours of looking what possibly could be the issue, I've found that the asset uses a hidden lightorb which illuminates the room. And when your camera sits within that orb, it turns your whole scene black. I know of other assets who use the same orb and there you can easily remove or deactivate it. In this case, it was nowhere to be found at first since it was integrated into the ceiling. The only option was to remove the whole ceiling in that asset. Which led to the next problem. That of course changed the whole lighting in the room and it doesn't match with the other renders which didn't turn black. Now I had to create my own ceiling, with new lighting and redo all of the renders. I've lost a few days doing that. Not fun!
Last time I asked about a certain choice and if I'd put it into the game or not. I've decided to put it in there for now. That way, you can actually see what I was talking about and decide then if it will be worth it or not. If not, I can always remove it. And maybe I come up with a solution in the meantime which won't create a double workload. Make sure you create a savefile before the choice or it will break saves in the future. I will talk more about this once it has a final decision though.
About naming background characters who are within a scene (Not talking about totally random characters, but more like friends from other characters). For example, people from school, Ethan's posse,... Would you rather have a ??? if you don't know their names, use Guy/Girl/Student/Client/Elder lady..." or give them a name?
I'll take a few days off between Christmas and Newyears and I won't be working on the game then. So this will be the last progress update until after the new year. The first week of January, I'll have a week off from my normal job and I'll spend some more time that week working on the story to make up for the lost days.

Looks like im gonna have to keep a backup save of the paths I dont like to replay like the Layla one after reading the update. Maybe even Elena's paths 2. But I can play replay Erynn and Alexis anytime. lol Usually when I replay those paths I replay them both kind of at the same time, since both are equally fun for me.

I mean why have renders like this in the game if there is no Incest and Mom is not an LI? Just saying... I would direct my time and energies towards other parts of the game. And if I remember correctly, this is not the only render/scene where he is kind of scoping out Mom in the game.
