Who said anything about getting involved in a relationship? Did you even read what I wrote? Doesn't matter if he even knew who the people were. MC witnessed a dude grope a girl, she fights back, he hits her. You're gonna witness that and be like, "well, she was kinda mean to me when I was little, maybe she deserves it"??? Its not even very high of a bar to reach for, either be a decent human and try to prevent a sexual assault, or... how would you describe a person who witnesses that and just walks away?

First of all what I meant there is meddling in someone else's business, if that was not clear. Whatever you do is meddling in their business whether you do it with good intentions or not. MC did not just witnessed that, if you catch the previous conversation. He was talking about going back to bar, business, clients etc. as far as MC knows he might be her pimp. MC thinks they are dating probably like last 5 years it might be their thing they may like playing rough and so on. Like I said before MC does not know jack shit about Erynn but she is involved with Ethan long time. You can't say he is not decent human being because he does not put himself in danger. It's not about Erynn or Ethan was mean to him, it's about self-preservation and not putting yourself in danger mindlessly. There is no bar to reach per se anyway. Unless, of course, you are the hero we need, not the one we deserve.

Now let me tell you what I say in clear words, I am not saying MC should not help Erynn in that spot. I am saying I won't blame if someone chooses not to. I am starting to wonder how many people in distress you helped that you can judge people being decent humans.

Now, I've also been thinking about reasons for Erynn's hot and cold displays with affection towards the MC. I'm starting to have a theory that Erynn has only have had sex once. The one we know about with Zane which was filmed. Shortly after that (presumably, becuase Ethan would never keep it to himself for long, he'd be unable to contain himself) he blackmailed her with the prom date..>Zane never seen again (though would love to know if he was aware and in it...if he was..we have another fucker to deal with at some point).

We already know Ethan has destroyed any chance of Erynn having a relatrionship with anyone else. So I'm thinking Erynn is just incredibly inexperienced, has only had sex once, and while at the time, she might have enjoyed it, the whole situation around her losing her virginity is incredibly and completely soured. She says a couple of times that 'she wants to' to the MC....but often runs away or stops things.

I think she is just terrified of being intimate.

He used his father's modelling business as bargaining chip. He offered to Zane a job in modelling and asked a sex tape of Erynn so he could blackmail her. Now, you may ask why would he want someone else to fuck Erynn? Simple it was after the Alexis fiasco and Ethan was already kicked out of Erynn's life. He knew she wants to become a teacher and she is gullible. As a manipulator, he thought a blackmailing material would be perfect for to get what he wants. Even after the blackmail Erynn refused him, so he wanted to wear down Erynn's will by sending her to escort jobs. I think his father also aware and probably founded the escort gig. If I am right, they are probably running a prostitution ring not just escort business and only thing preventing Erynn to fall that pit is Ethan and his obsession of her. Btw, the male model with broken nose is the same Zane.

as far as theories go it's a solid one, not at all out there like some others, could see it being accurate.

The first time the MC's mom gives her permission to go wake him up. So it's not like she snuck into his room or anything without permission.

That's actually one of the biggest issues I have with Erynn as a character. Everyone acts like she's still the MC's best friend even though he has been avoiding her for five years. Melissa wants to tell Erynn that you're back in town, and she is eager to play matchmaker with them. Erynn acts like the MC should be happy to see her. Layla tells you that you should definitely apologize to Erynn for brushing her off when they are walking to the train. Emily sees that Erynn is annoyed with the MC and lets her go into his room to wake him up. None of these things should happen. Nobody in any way will acknowledge the fact that he has deliberately shut her out of his life for five years. All of this leads up to Erynn going into his room to shake him awake and him getting angry with her. And what happens then? He says: "Hi. How are you? I've missed you. I'm sorry for everything."

What the fuck is that? Why isn't there a choice here? Just give us an option to say: "Get out of my room. I don't want to talk to you. I don't want to see you. Leave me alone." After that, you could have a scene where Emily and/or Melissa sit down with you and convince you to give Erynn a second chance. I mean, it's been five years. They were kids at the time, even if Erynn did laugh at him (which she didn't) it's not some sort of unforgivable sin. And from there we could go on as the game has.

I don't know if you remember, but way back when the wake up scene first existed, it did contain a choice about forgiving Erynn. It was something strange where he secretly plotted against her and only pretended to like her. That got cut, and it's likely for the best. I have no idea where it was headed, but it seemed too extreme. However, it should've been replaced with a reasonable choice instead of the nothing we have now.

I wouldn't call it crazy to want to have a conversation with someone you used to be friends with after 5 years.

The problem here isn't that she wants to have a conversation with someone she used to be friends with after 5 years, it's that she feels entitled to it despite the fact that he deliberately shut her out of his life. She should worried that he might not want to see her. She chases you down on the street when you try to leave her to be with your friends and says "That's it? We haven't seen each other for five years and I don't even get a how are you? Let alone a hug?"

Yeah that's it, take a hint lady. But she won't. She is so full of herself that can't even imagine that he just wants her to leave him alone. Even though he has avoided her for five years. That's crazy.

I don't know if you remember, but way back when the wake up scene first existed, it did contain a choice about forgiving Erynn. It was something strange where he secretly plotted against her and only pretended to like her. That got cut, and it's likely for the best. I have no idea where it was headed, but it seemed too extreme. However, it should've been replaced with a reasonable choice instead of the nothing we have now.

That was the buildup to an abandoned plan of MC siding with Ethan and corrupting Erynn rather than helping her (the reason for the corruption tag the game has). Given you get no extra scenes (other than Lexi dumping you if you were on her path) from walking past Erynn when she's getting attacked by Ethan I think that choice is also a residual effect from that storyline but Nyx hasn't removed it like she did with the option you mentioned.

If he's not her father, he might be a friend or her guy version of Erynn.

You should rethink that really, a second chance to someone who was a true friend and expresses desire to reconnect is a good idea.
Not telling you to fully press the reset button and forget, but... put one feet in the water and gradually step in.

Again - speaking from personal experience - it just isn't worth the impact on your own health to deal with someone who doesn't seem to really care all that much about your personal emotions. MC doesn't have to be a dick to her, but expecting a second chance when your actions resulted in someone leaving for 5 years.

I've seen the theory that Erynn might be suffering from mental health issues currently due to poor experiences during those 5 years, so perhaps some people here see someone they want to try to fix? It's actually not a bad character arc for Erynn if this is the direction it's going, and that might be enough reason for me to at least be kind to her rather than shutting her out completely. However, the relationship she wants (i.e. BFFs or similar) just isn't something I'm personally willing to do.


There are always consequences to any action you take in life regardless of the circumstances. It also goes both ways, meaning if the MC does decide not to give her a second chance that she is by no means obligated to atone for her actions.
